Wayne as the winner of the semi final? Seriously?
How on earth could Wayne be the most popular?
He's okay, and he can sing, but he's not outstanding. He's also over confident, irritating and a bit of a loudmouth. There were so many better acts. He got more votes than Alex? Really weird. Is it just me? |

Completely agree very strange result, it makes me wonder who is voting in general, I just cant understand why anyone would vote for him over some of the other acts. I was amazed he even made the top 3 tbh, there were at least 3 way better acts. I get the feeling if he hadn't won but had just been top 3 he would have easily lost the vote off against Alex or the dancers. From the shows point of view I don't think him getting through was in the script, there are going to be far to many singing acts in the final now.

Decent enough but there are too many middle aged Mickey Bubble fans out there who want more of the same.
Not for me. |

Actually I think he's great. He has by far the strongest personality and despite what people think here he IS hugely likeable. To win from the second slot is astonishing. He gave a great rendition of a popular song. Viewers want working class types to win these shows, rags to riches etc. He was really hampered by the plethora of other singers competing directly with him and his poor slot so he did really well to win.
The sword swallower was overhyped - he didn't show us his rippling torso, much of his act was a pole dance and the camera angles on the last bit ruined the climax. His main problem is he was pre-recorded and therefore there was no tension. It's no longer as thrilling if you know it will all go to plan. Then, he has appeared on too many other nation's version of this show and it feels like he has a deal with Simon. He's all over YouTube so he has nothing new to show us. A lot of people are squeamish so maybe he lost votes from the nervous types. The ballet dancers also were on other TV shows previously. They are not THAT old, he looks 56 but he's only 46, many dancers go on now to these ages. I thought she blew it by being too American-desperate to win urging us to vote having until that point been gracious, artistic, highbrow and ladylike, sort of ruined her image. The last 2 acts probably slipped a little also because it was clear the show wanted/expected them to win and people didn't vote because they thought they would. |

I Think a lot of people might have thought that the sword swallowing act was a dead cert to win that round and used their votes to vote for somebody else thinking that everybody else will be voting for the sword swallowing act and there is no need for me to as well.

What he did was extraordinary and I don't think whether he keeps his top on or not should be at all relevant. A lot of people obviously did vote for him anyway, because he came second. I am extremely squeamish normally, but I didn't find that a problem when watching his act, I was just very impressed by it, which is why I voted for him. |

I'm not going to deny the guy can sing but I just can't warm to him.
He comes across cocky, arrogant and full of himself. In my humble opinion of course.

I think he's treading a fine line at the moment - he's a warm, feel good character and ultimately, that likeability and the fact he does his big band shtick (which always does well on this show) quite well cancelled out the lukewarm judges comments, being fobbed off with "That's Life" and the poor slot in the running order. I'd keep an eye on him being the winner.

In what way is Wayne hugely likeable? He comes across as arrogant and cocky. We should be voting for talent, not personality anyway, although I know it can have quite an effect unfortunately. I agree that he did well to win from that early slot, so he must have been extremely popular for some inexplicable reason.

His song choice would've appealed to the older crowd. Arrogance will be his downfall with the GBP.
