David becoming a drag
When David 1st came to the show he was brilliant, a Ying to Simon's yang (oo-er) but now he is the Louis Walsh of BGT. Constantly disagreeing with Simon when an act is clearly crap, putting through acts that are as good as treading in dog shite and just being a general annoyance. If an act is bad and Simon tells them he slates him just to get a cheer.
It's become a bore. |

I agree.
And his whole gay schtick is boring, irritating and frankly a tad offensive. |

I think he is under the illusion that the show revolves around him. He's too thick to realise that he is just a bit player in the grand scheme of things.
He is to BGT what Fforsyth was to Strictly. An overblown irrelevance, with the only difference that Fforsyth was a man of considerable talent in his heyday, with entertainment skills and charisma that Walliams could only ever dream about.. |

Is he really Bisexual or is it all an act?, I can never yell, not that it matters whether he is or not, I did hear he was married once to a really hot woman once, someone who clearly if he wasn't famous and loaded he would never pull in real life.

He brings out the same tired jokes every year, even using the same one last night, and the night before.
He needs to come out of the closet, don't for a minute believe he married Lara out of love. He's as gay as pink ink. |

I think you can tell Simons had enough of him but is reluctant to fire him knowing the consistency of the panel has really helped the show in the last few years, plus didn't david win an award for being most popular TV judge

Also his face when any other judge has the audacity to disagree with him makes me want to slap him.

I thought the same with the last series (or the one before) where it was just way too much all the time. I thought it was just an act but with this series his reaction to semi naked toned male contestants has been very obvious, even Simon said something along the side "well if David's obviously sending you through".

OP did you intend the double entendre in your subject heading?
![]() All this taking the 'p', putting through silly acts etc is part of the format. It's why he was brought in. BGT is not a 100% serious talent show - otherwise joke/dire acts would not make it through to the semi finals

![]() ![]() I would say that rather than "great" his stupid, untalented performance actually "grates" on the majprity, (if not all), of the viewers. Perhaps he should give up pretensions of being a TV performer and concentrate on his successful children's books, where his talent obviously lie. They might even like his childish comments. Who knows? |

It happens regularly, long-term judges on shows like BGT etc start the believe and behave like they are more important than the performers. It happened with Cheryl and Sharon, now David and Aleshia are just performing for personal attention, rather than critiquing the contestants performance. Time to get rid and introduce two new judges who are dedicated to the show.

I've said it all series, he's just there to play a part but it's gone too far now. It was believable that he liked these sort of acts when he first joined but now it is just annoying. Every damn show he makes every act about him. Every time they go to the judges, he makes it about him. Hate him being on the panel. Quote:

![]() I really honestly believe that it's time David, Alesha and Amanda left. David, as I said before, makes EVERYTHING about him. Alesha, is too big for her boots on the show now. She's annoyed me since she first joined the show, felt like an Amanda part 2 to me. Amanda has been on since the start, maybe it's time for a change. I say this because she gets upset about the same acts, comes out with the same things all the time. She's too predictable now |

Aren't they all fakes ?
Simon fakes taking it all very seriously, the viewing figures are all that matter to him Amanda fakes her emotional involvement with various acts. She's a tough cookie who looks after number one. Alesha fakes excitement at even the most banal of acts. She probably can't wait to get out to a club somewhere. David fakes it with his gay/camp act and pretending to like some of the rubbish performers. Then they are all faking it by even being there. Not one of them would choose to watch BGT unless they were being paid handsomely to do so. |

I still like David. I don't think he has this big ego like some are saying. He doesn't always make everything about himself, only the occasional comment, when he wants to get a joke out of it. Also he always tries to be nice to the contestants and give them a chance.
