Seriously, we get a 'quota day' just two weeks in? Is there something else on that Sunday?

A derby and West Ham's first game at the Olympic stadium. I've seen worse.

I wouldn't say Sunderland v Middlesbrough is a quota filler. In the absence of Newcastle, it's the only rivalry in the division in the North East.

Also, West Ham v Bournemouth is the first Premier League game at The Olympic Stadium.

No mention of trains, though, so only the one drink.

Ok, fair enough. I retract my comment.

What are you on about? A very attractive derby and West Ham's first Prem game at the new stadium were both 99.9% going to be picked.

In fact a found it very surprising a lot of usually clever people on here didn't think West Ham v Bournemouth would be picked.

It is West Ham,s first match at the Olympic stadium and a Derby ( of sorts) Plus can't really see anything else that weekend of interest

Plenty of surprises as ever. Sky will show every club at least once in the first six weeks of the season. In terms of first picks, I reckon Sky have taken first pick in Package D in weeks 1, 3, 4 and 5 with BT having first pick in weeks 2 and 6. But I expect some will think that BT used a first pick in week 3 to secure Hull v Man Utd.

I am surprised Sky have opted to show West Ham's first game at the Olympic Stadium - a non event in my opinion. Sky will show West Ham three times in the Sunday 16:00 slot in the first six weeks. I reckon that one of these games is a Package G game. The obvious one is Man City - but that has to be Package D if it is a first pick. This is certainly something to keep an eye on.

Because they have the rights to 42 matches and only 36 rounds in which to show them.

Even allowing for two matches in each midweek round, that's still only 39. So we should see three weekends where BT have two games.

The Man Utd game is a fourth pick in Package F and the Everton game is a fifth pick in Package B.

Oh, and Week 5 is proof that Package E controls third picks (Chelsea v Liverpool is Friday 20:00).
