West Ham v Bourenmouth, was an obvious pick for me a momentous occasion, a game which shows, the Olympic Stadium, is going to have a big history, and not just there.

Glad Leicester are being shown on Opening Day, saves a rant.

Interestingly looks like Sky have changed the title sponsor for their Premier League coverage from Ford for the the first time in their history.

New Friday and Monday night football coverage will be sponsored by bet365.
Saturday and Super Sunday to be sponsored by Nissan.

Good spot.

There was already a "loosening" of Ford's sponsorship - where previously it was part of the titles, last season it was a normal break bumper.

It's been a few years, though, since the coverage has been referred to as "Ford Super Sunday/Monday Night Footbal/Football Special".

Sky not using package g at all?

One of west ham 4pm from there?

Given that Sky behaved like West Ham were the first club to ever leave a stadium, they were always going to show their first game at the new one as long as the fixtures reasonably allowed them to.

You would think so - just a question of which one? We can keep an eye on whether Bournemouth or Southampton get shown in that slot again. I suppose BT may have passed first pick in Week 3 back to Sky and that could make Man City v West Ham a Package G game. That in turn could make Hull v Man Utd a Package F game - possibly a second pick.

I'm pretty sure they still had Ford in their opening titles last season.

Another interesting quirk is that Sky have picked just one of Arsenal's opening six games - Liverpool at home in Week 1.

I did say WHU's first game would be picked

Are Arsenal as an attractive pick when you have Jose, Pep, Jurgen & Conte? All signing new players & in some cases big names? Arsenal haven't signed anyone of note yet or indeed aren't linked with a "top" name. (Pogba, Ibra etc)

Good selections & 11th Sept is Ryder Cup weekend yes? Not a bad game going on previous Ryder Cup weekends!

Yes, but last season the primary "advert" (so to speak) was before the titles themselves, as it was in 2014/15.

In seasons before, it's been in the middle as part of the titles themselves, e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEyXyLH4iLo

I'd say Arsenal are more attractive than West Ham who are on Sky four times in the first six weeks!

To be honest, there are a lot of factors that determine Sky's picks, not least their desire to show each team at least once by the end of September - Hence West Brom v Middlesbrough in Week 3.

West Ham picks are a by product of who they are playing & them moving grounds which Sky will want to show

Only WHU/Southampton strikes me as an odd pick

I'll look later. As sky will show west ham v Manu and not Swansea v west ham, you'd think only one game is pack g. Could be any of the weeks

All of BTs picks are a bit underwhelming IMO, even Arsenal vs Chelsea doesn't particularly excite me

Considering they are not the main rights holder they have still got

1 Man City
2 Leic v Ars
3 Man U
4 Liv v Lei
5 Man U and a second game
6 Ars v Che

I bet they will be pleased with that lot

Bournemouth 2
Everton 2

Can we expect some new titles and graphics then given its the start of the new contract and new sponsors?

Sky were probably not too fussed about Chelsea v West Ham. It probably depends on whether Sky thought BT would opt for Leicester v Arsenal in Week 2. If Sky were confident that BT would take it, then it would have been safe to assume that they wouldn't also take Hull v Leicester.

EDIT: This is also one of those scenarios where BT might have passed third pick back to Sky. But if Sky had used a first pick in Package D and second pick in Package C - and thus used the two conventional Sunday slots - BT might not have been allowed to pass.

Of the 27 games chosen for TV, I correctly predicted a grand total of 8 in the right slot :
