The first thing I notice is that Sunday's are not the 'go to' day in the weekend for big games in the first 6 weeks. Only Arsenal v Liverpool in W1 is a genuine big Super Sunday game. The other 'big games' all take place on Friday or Saturday.
W2 - Leicester v Arsenal Sat 17:30 - BT W3 - Tottenham v Liverpool Sat 12:30 - Sky W4 - Man United v Man City Sat 12:30 - Sky, Liverpool v Leicester Sat 17:30 - BT W5 - Chelsea v Liverpool Fri 20:00 - Sky W6 - Man United v Leicester Sat 12:30 - Sky, Arsenal v Chelsea 17:30 - BT Seems like BT took the first pick in W2 (LCFC v AFC), passed it back in W3 (decline THFC v LFC), and obviously took it in W6. The 1230 Sat slot has been made to look strong by Sky, with some big games in that slot due to various reasons, but for me it looks like Saturday is alot stronger than Sunday in terms of TV picks for 5 of the first 6 weeks. |

Sunderland-Everton now Monday night 8.00pm. I'm doing the Great North Run and have my train ticket back to London booked for the Monday morning! Bloody typical!

Week 3 is an odd one. I'd have thought BT would have taken first pick to get Liverpool v Spurs, but perhaps they think it's worth saving their first picks for Spurs games later in the season.
I reckon that Hull v Man Utd could be a second pick in Package F. But I I also think Watford v Man Utd is a fourth pick in Package F. That game had to be played on the Sunday so it might be that Everton v Middlesbrough is the Package F game with Watford v Man Utd being a fifth pick in Package B. But that would seem like a waste of a Package F weekend game. So I do think it's possible that both of BT's Man Utd picks are in Package F, which leaves them with just one Man Utd midweek game to be selected from: 16: Crystal Palace v Man Utd 23: Man Utd v Hull City 31: Man Utd v Everton If we assume that BT will get Man Utd v Spurs in Week 15, I would have thought they would save it for Man Utd v Everton in Week 31. |

Spurs v liv interesting. I think bt pass back. Sky wouldn't want to use 1330 as Liverpool can go there on non cl weeks. Nice at 4pm but risked bt steal with third pick.
Bt prob felt Leicester v arsenal and hull v Manu (with Liverpool v Leicester early Sep) better than poor game week two and spurs v liv, particularly with spurs quota issues. It won't be clear till very late though, multiple possibles |

I think that Watford v Man United is a 4F pick. Hull v Man United I have as a 3B pickPresumably, also, the six 3G picks that Sky have can only be used in weeks when there is no 3E pick and no 3B pick, therefore I don't think any of them has been used as yet. |

bundlebud - you could very well be right about Week 3 - but that does leave me wondering what Sky's strategy is.
Josep - Thank you, it automatically updates with entries into the main table - it helps me keep track of where everyone's at. |

Does anyone know when the tv rights of champion league is submitted this year..?
There are rumours UEFA will revert back to old model of making sure 1 live champions league game is back on terrestrial tv...? Please advise who will be bidding...? Will Sky come back hard for the new champion league tv rights for season 2018-2021...? |

Will Sky come back hard for the new champion league tv rights for season 2018-2021...? Despite what Francis says about Champions League football, Sky will almost likely bid for rights. We don't know ITV's motive.... Thread is here to discuss ----> http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1846499 |

Of course, unlike Setanta - who to my understanding seemed to struggle to understand quotas - Sky know that this is the way to play the quotas game as many of the big teams won't necessarily be available later on. |

By the way can anyone remember the forum poster who told us stoke v Liverpool was pick one and who we ridiculed. Have they posted since, as I imagine they will have insider info?

Can anyone confirm that that an early kick off game on a Saturday will now start at 12:30pm instead of 12:45pm?

Was it too difficult to look at any number of websites to find out?

It is isn't it; Manchester United weren't available for that slot of course but it looks like they are going for the big names early on.

![]() Just for the record, it looks like I've got one other difference compared to your spreadsheet, which is that in Week 2, I have Stoke v Man City as a 5A pick and Sunderland v Middlesbrough as a 2C. This is partly because I think Sky would have been keener to ensure they showed the Tees-Wear derby than securing Stoke v Man City, but also to balance the number of 2A picks that have already been made as Sky would otherwise already have used five 2A picks out of fourteen and only one 2C pick out of fifteen. |
