So for example have 5/6 exclusive slots and let the rest overlap. If channels want to go head to head or overlap by a half at 6.30 on a Saturday night or 1pm on sunday when its Burnley v Hull and Stoke v Watford then let them?”
I wasn't advocating that - if I was advocating anything at all. I meant a new timeslot for the remaining games after TV have made their picks. But, just like at Saturday 3pm, for those to all take place at the same time. It's the model that is used in Germany and Italy but not Spain.
On the point that all 10 aren't going to be great games, well that's the beauty of football! None, or all, might or might not be great games. You could watch 9 dreadful games and miss one classic!
It's impossible to say in advance but with all ten live then it would be more the viewer's fault that he chose the "wrong" game rather than blaming Sky/BT for choosing a rubbish game
