These are the only TV picks I care about as I'm in the UK for 3 weeks at Xmas, someone phoning the PL from Australia would be a first

Has anyone phoned up the Premier League yet?

are we expecting the NYE fixtures to be like a normal weekend, ie, a couple of games on NYD and a game on the 30th too?

Well I guess if anyone plays on the 1st then their game on the 2nd will have to be put back but I think the former (NYDs) is a Sunday...

No problems there
Sky have 4 games on Mon 2nd fixtures At least two will move Also clubs will moan and play Tuesday anyhow as Sat Mon will be too much for the 200000 quid a week players to do |

No fixtures yet then, I thought we might have got them at 10am, on SSNHQ First Fast Now programme.
But it seems we are going to get 2 hours of, Red 90 Minute Monday, where Liverpool will play in Red, and Manchester United wont fixture. All of this bloddy build is making me not wanting to watch it. Are we still expecting the fixtures today |

They seem to be worried that Man Utd v Spurs might be played Monday night. I think that is highly unlikely.

There's a midweek round following Man Utd v Spurs so I'd have thought Monday night was a definite no-no for any fixture.
I suppose technically Crystal Palace v Man Utd and Spurs v Hull could move to Thursday, but the only way I could see that happening is if Crystal Palace v Chelsea, Spurs v Burnley and West Brom v Man Utd are all moved to Sunday/Monday for TV anyway (i.e. not simply moved as a consequence of other fixtures being moved). But yes, highly, highly unlikely. |

As ever, a few surprises.
So Sky have taken Man Utd v Spurs but not Liverpool v Man City which is being played at 17:30 on NYE. Sky's bank holiday picks are interesting: Dec 26 12.30pm Watford v Crystal Palace (Sky Sports) 5.15pm Hull City v Manchester City (Sky Sports) Dec 27 5.15pm Liverpool v Stoke City (Sky Sports) Dec 28 7.45pm Southampton v Tottenham Hotspur (Sky Sports) Jan 2 12.30pm Middlesbrough v Leicester City (Sky Sports) 5.15pm West Ham United v Manchester United (Sky Sports) Jan 3 7.45pm AFC Bournemouth v Arsenal (Sky Sports) Jan 4 8pm Tottenham Hotspur v Chelsea (Sky Sports) This suggest Sky will be looking for a weekend Package G game for Man Utd. I find it odd that Sky opted for Watford v Palace over Leicester v Everton. I also thinks it odd that Sky went for Liverpool v Stoke over Sunderland v Liverpool. And Man Utd v Liverpool is Sunday 16:00. |

5:30 on NYE, it could be bad PR for BT there

BT's selection of Crystal Palace v Man Utd in Week 16 (midweek) is very interesting. I am now of the opinion that Hull v Man Utd in Week 3 was a third pick from Package B, Spurs v Liverpool was a second pick from Package A, and that Man City v West Ham was a first pick in Package D.

Here's a puzzle. These are three BT double header weekends:
11 Arsenal v Tottenham sun12:00 11 Chelsea v Everton sat17:30 13 Burnley v Man City sat12:30 13 Chelsea v Tottenham sat17:30 15 Chelsea v West Brom sun12:00 15 Leicester v Man City sat17:30 I've always assumed that such weekends would have a game from Package B and a game from Package F. If we assume that the NLD is a first pick in Package B that makes Chelsea v Everton Package F. The same logic says that Burnley v Man City is Package F too. BT have picked Liverpool v Chelsea and West Ham v Man City in the midweek in January so that gets both clubs to two picks in F. But what about Week 15? If one of those games is a package F game, then BT can't pick Man City v Chelsea in Week 31. I can't believe that is the case so I reckon BT have snuck in two Package B games in Week 15 which is interesting. |

Presumably Liverpool - West Ham is the Package D game on Sun 11th then?
