The Saturday part was exaggerated, the same way as the celebrity.

As for factual inaccuracies about the illness. I still think it was a sore throat.
As I said before, just because a celebrity makes a statement, doesn't make it fact.
The way she was dancing, talking and shouting after getting through, no way was that illness, serious. Fact is truth in my books and celebrities statements don't add up to truth in my opinion.

So you have never made a bad comment about anybody, based on someone else's opinion??.
OK, if you don't believe what she said and believe she only had a sore throat that's fine. This argument raged on for many days during the series and I can't be bothered going through it all again.

Just clearing up that point. Pharyngitis is not an illness in itself, it's one symptom, a sore throat that often appears alongside other symptoms when someone has an infection.
My response in saying that Georgia had not got a sore throat, she had got pharyngitis was in response to Sarah specifically diagnosing her with a sore throat, here:

cried that weekend and got a sore throat and then milked it for all it's worth.
Clearly it is Sarah's opinion that she did just have a sore throat and to me, that isn't accurate:

You know what's tedious about Strictly and this forum, the same posters taking any and every opportunity to have a dig at certain contestants, oh and their fans (look below).

She does get points back for nearly vomiting over Tess, though!
Ha, ha! I'd forgotten that . (Didn't she suddenly dive out of shot in the Tesspit in search of a bucket?! 😷😂 )

Obsessive 'non fans'! I depreciate them a little bit

To bring the thread back on topic! I'm quite a new watcher of strictly, so there's nothing I really don't like about the show! 1 thing I did pick up on, especially last year was some inconsistency with the judges comments and scoring! Not just with my favourite but with quite a few of the contestants! It was clearly evident in the final in my opinion! I thought both Georgia and Jay deserved 1 or 2 10's in the first part of the final!

I depreciate the unnecessary vitriol from a very small minority but tbh, it's fairly easy to ignore. I've no problem whatsoever if someone doesn't share my like of one of my favourites and I don't take criticism of them deeply personally and fret about it. It doesn't make them right or me right, it's just an opinion.

What's a 'non fan'. Everyone's a fan of someone or simply here because they love Strictly even if they don't follow a particular celeb or pro.

What's a non-fan? I'm a fan of Strictly but I'm not necessarily a fan of any of the pro's or celebs in particular ... does that make me a non-fan fan, a fan non-fan or a fan without portfolio?

Doesn't fan come from fanatical which can mean "obsessively concerned with something"? If that's the case then this non-fan wears her non-fan badge with pride.

The term ' non fan' was coined after a big debate with the GG fans, They kept calling us haters, jealous people and some more stuff and we agreed that we don't hate them, just not a fan of someone, hence the term 'non fan'.

That's a tad unfair, Sarah. I used the term 'hater' as its just one used on the internet to describe people who appear to 'hate' someone. Once, I may add. I didn't keep doing it. I meant no harm by it and didn't mean to accuse you of hating anyone. Nor did I ever call anyone jealous or 'some more stuff.' I thoroughly apologised for my use of the word when you and others took offense to it. And after polite discussion the term 'non fan' was suggested in replacement of 'hater'

According to the NHS, Pharyngitis is a sore throat http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Sore-th...roduction.aspx

I think they are the experts on this matter and they vindicate Sarah referring to Georgia's ailment as a sore throat ... Now this has nothing to do with Strictly Come Dancing and is way off topic even for a depreciation thread.

Sorry, Star. I was not referring to you, Thanks to you, there is peace now.
Some others did say ( few times) that, we were jealous of Georgia and we were openly called haters by some. It's all in the past, I only revisited it just to explain the term 'non fan', to our new addition, Ochre.

You have nothing to apologies for, everything is fine.

I meant, new addition to our strictly team, Ochre. She didn't know what the term
'non fan' meant. Ochre joined later and I was trying to explain to her.

Just the forum, Sandy. Ochre wasn't here back when we had the debate over the word 'hater' and all decided to replace it with 'non fan'

Edit - I see Sarah already replied as I was typing

Does this term 'our strictly team' refer to everyone who posts in the Forum or do members have to fulfil certain criteria to be part of your team ?
