Does this term 'our strictly team' refer to everyone who posts in the Forum or do members have to fulfil certain criteria to be part of your team ?

There is no need for that. If I had said Strictly team, it would have meant the celebrities, so I said 'our team'. There was no sacarsam.

Everybody who posts in this forum.

Stans are ...erm... 'over' zealous fans .

It comes from an Eminem song (the one featuring Dido) about a super-fan who gets the hump when his idol doesn't answer his letters (...and from there it gets a little dark 😳😬 ). Some people think it's a conflation of stalker + fan, but I think it was just the name of the bloke in the song .

Ha, ha. Love it and love that Eminem song too. Thanks for the explanation.

Well, almost everyone.

One couple scored 40 this year.

Hmmm. Not quite everyone... ...but yes, get rid. Too easy to set some up to fail and others to succeed.

I think the couples should just be able to dance their favourite dances (maybe one ballroom and one latin).

I'd like the judges to be much more hands-off in the final, and preferably not award scores.

Yes they should do away with the judges scoring in the final, I agree.

They'd have to be given something to do though, perhaps they could join Claudia for the evening

I'm sure Claudia would be thrilled!

Right. This is what I don't like.

Uncreative choreography, surely there is a way to do a Foxtrot without it being some twee crap (side eye to Kevin). Jazz it up. I have a few songs that are what you would call inappropriate but fit just fine

Refusal to have Tango as an American Smooth bace. This would be electric

The show is too safe and getting predictable. Surprise me. Bring Fusion back. It challenged the pros

Pros up your game. Dances like Jays jive should be happening ALL THE TIME. Week in week out. If you have a good partner you go balls to the wall. Bring the biggest songs, flashiest choreography.

Oddly most of my issues are creative ones

Best ballroom, best Latin - and it doesn't matter if they were only done the week or 2 week's before, it's the final, we want the best of the best - and a not-yet-done dance. Ditch the Showdance - it's getting a bit Bolero on Dancing on Ice now. The days when it was a bit wow because of lifts have long gone and they usually just fall a bit flat.

BIB Like this, yeah I remember the look on the faces of some of the pros after Jay's jive. While they were applauding their facial expressions showing shock 'They've blown us out of the water, what can we do And as an aside Tristan just looking completely thrilled for Aliona.

Or worse in Brendan's case And not just Lisa, my fave Sophie too.

Replacing the judges choice (a must and then they won't get to record their epic padding broom cupboard comments either) with the not-yet-done dance is a good one although whether one celeb ended up with a dance that didn't suit them could be an issue. Give them extra choices like Lindy Hop? American Smooth with a different base.

I think two is enough, maybe best ballroom or Latin and a viewers choice.

Hi

We really do not need a "depreciation" thread. By all means contribute to individual topics about the show with whatever opinions you like but a whole thread designed to criticise the show and fans of the show is not something that will generate productive discussion.
