Worried about my cat.
Rugby man
24-05-2016
My cat keeps spewing up - like phleghm, some sort of watery substance. She does spew up like that occasionally, but in the last few days it's happened a few times more. 7 or 8 times on Thursday night, then a few times on Sunday, Monday and today, but not as much as on the Thursday.

I wanted to take her in on Friday, but my parents convinced me she'll be fine. Because she's been 'sick' - sort of - since, I'm getting worried.

Should I take into the vets? My parents advise me that it's normal as it's only phleghm, but I'm worried regardless.

Any advice would be appreciated.

my advice - if you are worried - take her to the vet

if its something more serious than just phleghm they will be able to treat if and if it is just phleghm they will be able to reassure that she is fine

Yeah, I think I will now, she's thrown up again since the making of the thread, so yeah, getting a bit worried, so will take her to the vet.

Is she drinking and eating, RM? It can be an indicator of overall health.

Good luck at the vets. The little devils (cats, not vets) don't half cause us worry, eh? x

They do indeed. She has been eating and drinking, but it's caused me worry because of how many times she's thrown up. Taking her to the vets tomorrow and hopefully she'll be okay.

A couple of the times she's been sick have been hairballs, mostly spittle and once food.

I wouldn't be worried usually, but she's been sick quite a lot since Thursday, so I think it's best to bring her in.

Take her to the vet please. How old is she Rugby man? We all can see when they've thrown up a hairball or food because they bolted it but when my 15 year old cat started throwing up spittle it turned out to be kidney disease.

Edit. I'm so sorry if I was abrupt in the above post. It just took me back to the time I wasted in not noticing something was wrong with my beloved cat who I thought was just regurgitating the amount of wáter she'd been drinking.
