Corrie's blow-by-blow spoilers are a bloody joke!!

This sort of article is one of the reasons Corrie is in the pits. It literally lays the entire plot down. Do I even need to watch now? Total crock of shit.

Oh, James, I share your horror and pain.

The fact that Corrie's Press Office still does this for every storyline (major or minor) screams of just how much the show and its production team have lost touch with the real world.

This type of thing has become associated with Stuart Blackburn, but Corrie has been doing it for years. As with most of Corrie's problems, it runs far deeper than the influence of just one person. There's a whole team of clueless people running Corrie.

For fear of libel, I won't name names, but Corrie's 'Senior Publicity Officer' always appears clueless whenever she appears on things. I reckon she's the one behind Corrie's completely terrible PR. She's high up on my list of people who needs to go in the Big Corrie Behind-the-scenes Shakeup.

It's so annoying. As are the BGT week "next time" clips at the end of the episodes which instead of building suspense just go on to reveal almost the entire plot of the following night's episode. It's a joke.

They are so annoying!!!! I turn it off as soon as the end music starts so I don't see anything and I don't read / avoid any spoilers. I would much rather read some stuff as I enjoy watching and want to discuss but feel the need to stay away from everything and am very careful even on here with clicking on different threads. I haven't clicked on the link included by the OP either. Highly infuriating

They give too much away they need to keep things secret.

Agreed. It's crazy how much they give away - they may as well just publish the entire script and be done with it.

If one reads those detailed spoilers, by the time it actually airs you just feel like you're watching a movie or reading a book for the second time and already know what happens. Then we all sit there saying, "yawn, how predictable", forgetting we didn't actually predict anything - they told us!.

I haven't clicked on the link either.

Yes, there are no surprises any more. The last big "twist" was in the live episode when Callum died but even though there weren't spoilers it was really obvious before hand, because of Blackburns not so subtle hinting.

Don't read them then. Funny how people search for spoilers and then moan how everything has been ruined. Have some self control.

Just like these spoilers, I can't also stand shows that show you a montage of what's about to happen during the first few mins of a programme. Do people really have that short of an attention span nowadays?

I do wish they would stop announcing actors upcoming departures from the show so far in advance. It must be nearly two years now since it was announced Alison King was leaving.

DTC's policy of springing surprises was far more exciting for fans. But,unfortunately I suspect that revealing exactly what's going to happen when attracts more viewers.

The show is a joke.

Even Social Media and the Press are saying it, which is rare!

Their big week so far has been non eventful.

The thing is, I love the odd spoiler, but that doesn't mean I like plots being ruined months in advance. I'd rather get hints and teasers. Yes, I take some of the blame for clicking the link but I think whoever handles that stuff at Corrie needs to change their tactic.

Still, they've kept the circumstances in which Callum's corpse is discovered secret but we already know what's going to happen after!
