ED: Lawrence and Paddy
EssexJosh96

First off does anyone else think Lawrence will end up being killed off? They seem to be making his character quite unlikeable atm and when Chrissie finds out the truth surely she'll be out for revenge.

Also is Paddy coming back or has he left for good? In the interview with ED's new exec producer something he said seems to imply Paddy won't be returning.

From the looks of it Lawrence is going to be killed off. I don't understand why anyone would think Chrissie would want revenge however.

I'm sure the actor of Paddy is on a 6 month break. He'll be returning at some point, I expect.

Because there turning her into the next Sadie King doesn't matter if its illogical the writers know we want contrived drama and there going to give it to us

Well it looks like I will most likely be tuning out for good come summer time.

With Chrissie ruined there'll be even less reason to continue.

Exactly how I feel pal, I've had many rants aadmittedly misguided and distasteful ones about the direction they've taken her and it's just getting worse, along with Alicia she was one of the most likeable characters now they want everyone to be a man eater or super bitch and every male to be sleazy thug. There no one to empathise with and genuinely root for..maybe David but there taking a serious issue and turning it into a farce.

Well I nearly stopped watching when I heard Alicia was leaving funnily enough, but then they introduced Chrissie who was a likable character who got quite a bit of screentime - I stuck around.
There's a few characters who keep me watching Carly, Finn, David, Jacob etc. But the majority of them are always in the background whereas Chrissie's been front and centre for a while. I'm disappointed with this direction for her character and don't really want to watch it unfold.

Personally i don't see any point in bringing Paddy back and it'll will be interesting to see what happens between Rhona and Pierce.
Does anyone know what the stunt in June will be? My guess is probably a fire or something happens at the flats Rakesh is in the process of building.

Do you think she may be the departure, Duncan from the metro hinted in his article that her revenge may lead to an exit from the show. They usually give charcthers personality transplants in the build up to there darparture.

Also what could she possibly do for revenge and why would she feel like she needs it.

It could very well be leading to her departure, I don't see how her revenge could lead to someone elses departure without also leading up to hers.

What does she actually want revenge for though? It doesn't make sense unless she's projecting the anger and bitterness of her treatment from Robert onto her father as there is some parallels there.

Agree it's unlikely but normally when a charcthers has a personality transplant and is horrible In their las few months it's usually hinting at a departure. The charcther on screen now and what they are hinting at isn't the one who was on the show up untill new year. So her leaving might be for the best now anyway.

John bowe moved from London to Leeds for the sake of the show, Louise marwood and the actor who plays rakesh stil live in London soi wouldn't be suprised to see both leave this year.

I hope not but I have had a feeling about Law being killed off for a long time. The constant heart troubles clearly means the writers have Law's death set in stone.

I think the death of Law could really allow Chrissie to develop even more. I could easily her and Bernice fighting to be Lady of the manor in a Krystal/Alexis type manner. I really like the white family and would be gutted to see most of them depart if Law is killed off.

I also don't really understand the situation. Lawrence is going all Al Capone to protect his secret. Only my problem is everyone including Chrisse and Bernice already know of his gay 'past'. Why would he even bother sending Sam (yes, Sam - I'm not even going to discuss the absurdity of that) to warn off Ronnie or whatever? They all know he is/was gay or bisexual - the names and dates are irrelevant.

I like both the Johns and would think they are both good actors. I'd have liked a better exploration of their past and how they have dealt with it and evolved with the choices they made. Much better than a nonsense story of Sam(!!!) being some sort of henchman. Has whoever write this ever actually seen Emmerdale? Employing Ross or Robert would have made more sense.

Hopefully Lawrence won't get killed off
