I think I would actually like the character if she was played by an actress.

I liked Nico at the start and even after pushing Will off the roof, which while done in anger, could be seen as self defence because he was threatening her and Dodger's life.

But it just got more and more ridiculous after that, it's not the actor, it's the writing that is the big problem. Even the best actor wouldn't be able to get away with this storyline. It's too much for any character, be even more so for a teen.

It doesn't help that like the GHK they have had Nico kill off characters just so she could add to her kill count. Patrick was dying, they had a MND storyline going, but then decided to have Nico murder him. Trevor was a very popular character and if the actor decided to leave, they should have left the door open or have him die in a more dramatic death, not by the hands of angry Nico.

She may have been more bearable if the person playing her could indeed act but the way she comes across makes me loathe her and now she's killed Trevor off I loathe her even more.

Something about HO killing off good characters played by decent or excellent characters.

Nico has now killed Patrick and Trevor. They were the show's two best actors. She is the worst.

Cameron killed Sam, Danny and Lockie. The first two were strong actors, the latter was decent and at least portrayed someone who was becoming likeable. Cameron is wooden and pathetic.

If a good actress was cast, Nico would've been tolerable. But then she'd still have to deal with terrible HO writing.

I can't work out if she's an appalling actress or in fact playing the part of a messed up teen well. She's meant to be a girl on edge all the time, so I almost find the delivery of her lines and the erratic eye movement realistic.

Hmm. Actually come to think of it, she's just awful.

There's nothing wrong with the way Sephie acts, she portrays Nico extremely well and does a fantastic job!

Well she has definitely improved as an actress since she first arrived on the show. When i first saw her i thought she was the worst actress ever to appear in a soap but since she has become a murderer, she has been good as she plays the teenager role well

I think the actress is alright. I find her believable as a messed up girl.

Well I do not see her as a bad actress either. She plays a messed up teen and she's mad as a box of frogs on top it and has a mother that could keep her a company in some sunny mental institution.

I imagine we are watching the same show, just entirely different stations! As I say there's nothing wrong with Seph what so ever, she plays Nico down too a T. Very proud of her right now

Maybe we should ask this, if you think the actress is bad, what parts of her portrayal of Nico show that she's bad? Answers like "All of them" won't be accepted

In some ways I find Nico a more believable serial killer than Lindsey. I'm not a psychologist but I find her slightly detached, some might call it wooden, delivery more in keeping with a killer than Lindsey's on/off deranged behaviour. Whether this delivery is deliberate or just how the actress is I don't know.

she is playing a messed up kid and to a certain extent the actress does that ok - its her voice that I cannot stand - I know she cant help her voice but - you know......

I feel that there is just too much going on with the character to make her believable

fostered/adopted as a young baby
finds mum and ends up living with her with no one batting an eyelid
discovers mums twin is her father
develops kidney failure
kills 3 people so far and again no one bats an eyelid - her mother esp

have I missed anything

just 1 of the above mentioned "issues" would be more than enough IMO

I dont know if its that she cant act........ would be interesting to see her in something other than HO to see if she can act and she is acting Nico this way or if she just isnt a great actress - if that makes sense!

God, she's one of the most annoying characters in hollyoaks. Can't stand ber character at all.

I actually think both the actress and the character are fine. Nico would be compelling if she were the only killer on the show. Its the fact that there is so much other murder crap on every week. Its sad really, it would be a brilliant storyline if it stood alone.

And Trevor knew what devil's spawn Nico was, I would think he wouldn't let her anywhere near him.

BTW I think the wooden delivery is on purpose. She can be both detached about things and passionate about something else, it shows a lack of interest for anything else than what she wants.

I agree. I think she's very chilling.

I think she's just awful. If it sometimes comes across as detached and chilling, that's just a happy coincidence.

Judgemental i know, but everytime i see the 'do the H' promo after the show, i cant help noticing how horrible the jumpsuit she is wearing is

The character is a weird mish mash now so hard to play whomever it would be that plays her
