I've missed the police element of EE especially Kebble and DS Malachi, I still think Kebble and Scott are a secret couple

Anyone else glad to see them back?

I'd love them to become regulars. Ritchie can open a law firm. And I could see Marsden and Keeble spying on the square.

Absolutely. The chemistry between these two is always palpable. Love them!

I've been saying for ages that they all need their own spinoff show. Keeble, Ritchie Scott, Bryant, Marcus Christie. Johnny could intern for Ritchie. It would be amazing.

I still miss Marsden, but yes it was great to see the most incompetent detective force in the country back in action.

BIB Ha ha! Love it! I'm sure Marsden will be back in it soon. She was the one that was gunning for the Mitchells and didn't think Max was guilty - she will love rubbing it in Keeble's face that she got the wrong man!

As for Richie, that woman makes me shudder. She wouldn't defend Jay even though she knew essentially he hadn't intentionally done anything wrong but she's quite happy to defend a child who has definitely killed one person of his family and (for all they know) may have killed a second member. Nice.

Keeble really annoyed me when she said they worked strongly to build a case against max as if an innocent man should stay on prison because they don't want their work wasted

Bring back Marsden now.

It's a really sad state of affairs isn't it? No one actually wants to find out the truth or seems or ensure that the guilty are punished and the innocent set free. Can't wait for Max's return, really looking forward to seeing what they are going to do with the character!

Completely agree MissMonkeymoo especially the Bib..

I hope he comes and takes revenge on everyone..

I also hope Marsden gets one up on Keeble.

Yes they definitely are incompetent, even when the real perpetrator comes forward they don't want to believe it because it proves their incompetence

But what a great copper - managed to extract a confession out of the devil in less than two minutes without even trying! Keeble and her team spent months investigating lucy's death and got the wrong man sent down. He got it all out of bobby by just telling him that they needed to know what happened (admittedly about Jane) so they could make it all better!

annoyed me too!

they have Bobby in custody for whacking his mother around the head with a hockey stick AND he confesses to killing Lucy by whacking her over the head with a music box and STILL Keeble dismisses

surely alarm bells would be ringing in her head and her police instinct would kick in and she would want to investigate further...... I know I would!

It's the thing that's most annoyed me about an otherwise decent storyline, the way that characters have been compromised to fit the plot. There is no way that the Keeble we met at the start of the case would have acted in this way. I guess the reasoning behind it from the writers is that a great many characters simply can't believe that a child is capable of murder, but Keeble is meant to be a hardened, no-nonsense detective, I don't believe for a second that she would dismiss the prospect of Bobby being the murderer when he's sitting there telling everyone he is.

Still, I'm willing to overlook it, because she's Keeble and otherwise she's awesome, provided she now takes Bobby seriously and goes back to her professional manner she's always had.

I missed Keeble! Bryant looked awful! He must have had a stressful few month since he last appeared with that Grey hair!

The Police Officer who arrested Bobby was fit! I hope he becomes a recurring part of the Police Force! I actually like how they have personalities now and are more like characters than extras!

I bet that Bobby could have showed them a video of him killing Lucy and they would have still dismissed it saying "We have got our man already and don't want that mucking up!"

Imagine the humiliation of sitting there being told by a 12 year old that they'd got it spectacularly wrong....they didn't even question Bobby or do forensic tests on the house and cars.

It was a good episode overall, the lad who plays Bobby has turned out to be a good little actor. That policewoman has the type of stare that could turn water stagnant and her male colleague is an interesting character too - Playing Mr. Friendly, but then clearly relishing his chance to make a full conviction.
Elsewhere, there was the black comedy of Billy and Roxy trying to work out what to do about a drug mule predicament.

They should do a spin off with these police officers
