Has everyone in EE forgotten that Peggy Mitchell died last week?

has everyone in Albert Square forgotten that last week Peggy Mitchell died? I mean all of the attention has now turned to Bobby Beale attacking Jane which of course is a major crisis. But Phil lost his mother just last week. Ben lost his grandmother. Yet this other major event in their lives has been swept aside after just a few days.

How about funeral arrangements and all the numerous things a death in the family involves? It just seems unrealistic that this week no one has mentioned it at all. Even if Ben for instance said "This is all we need on top of gran dying".

I think in Eastemders time, her death was still 2 or 3 days ago.

It'll be addressed.

Pretty sure she died the night before the wedding, so in eastenders time it's only been one day

I was forgetting that it was the wedding day for a few episodes. Even more unrealistic then. They surely would still be talking about it.

Phil is clearly still thinking about it

The disruption of the space time continuum is a specialty of EE just recently remember the day that lasted for over a week at new year and how fun that was.

Roxy said she was in a state "cos Aunt Peggy just died"

Plus only A few know what happened, I thought Phil asked Shirley to let people know, but maybe she hasn't felt it was time.

I'd love someone to sit down and calculate how many days have passed on screen during the runs of EE and CS, I'm convinced they are still somewhere in the early -90s and we've been getting wrong berating there out of dateness - they're actually bang on the money.

The entire pub got told. Everyone pretended that they knew Peggy and were devastated by it.

Hilarious how the Mitchell's have just moved on one day later.

I don't think they have moved on but it's Martin and Stacey's wedding and so I doubt they want it to dampen their day. They are all thinking about it and Roxy said about Peggy dying.
I think Ronnie calls Sam next week and tells her to come back from Portugal so the funeral must be soon.

Blame and writers and DTC for having the ending to ever ending Storyline involving Bobby finishing within the next day.

Desperate for the Soap Awards I guess.

If DTC wasn't leaving, I guess we wouldn't have the Bobby storyline finishing yet

to be fair, in EE time, she only died the day before the wedding - the wedding has lasted a few episodes so its only really been a day

I am sure people will react to her death shortly - Im not sure how many people in the Square actually know she has passed

Given that we won't see the funeral on screen for at least 3 weeks, God knows what day it currently is!

Does nobody remember Martin and Stacey's stag and hen do with the entire square in the pub being told Peggy had died? The Beales and the Mitchells all in their living room having just heard the news.

It hasn't even been 24 hours and Ronnie is more interested in talking to the flamin builder. Jay is walking around cracking jokes about Billy having eaten something dodgy. Roxy is trying poo out 10kg worth of drugs. Ben is preoccupied with protecting Bobby. Phil is sober having just discovered his mother tricked him and killed herself. Louise is chasing after some boy.

Anyone would think that the tribute to Dame Barbara Windsor was just randomly slotted into the show.

It's not even been a week in Eastenders time! but I'm sure it'll be mentioned as the funeral approaches.

This is the problem when the timeline slows down. It messed with continuity. What can happen a day ago is treated as if it happened 2 weeks ago.

Why would the whole square be in mourning for Peggy? In real life when someone in your street dies does the whole street go into mourning for them...?! No so why should anyone who isn't family or close friends suddenly start grieving just because some old lady they barely knew has died...
