Quite. Also given fact that she hasn't been around for years. They'll pay their respects at the funeral. As for the Mitchells well it's true to form.

I thought it was funny that Martin didn't mention it in his speech when he said about "all those that can't be with us today...."

Assuming he meant his parents and Stacey's dad, Charlie, etc.

Even if they had made their peace, it's hardly wedding speech material to bring up the woman widowed when the Bride smashed his head in.

Why would Martin need to mention it..

In my old street, we used to have a collection.

No you're right. Peggy visited the pub during the stag and hen do. She then left with Phil and Grant. Grant got in a taxi and left. Phil went back to the pub after walking her home. Then sometime later that night she killed herself.

Next episode was the same night as the stag/hen party. Phil finds her, tells Sharon who calls the pub to let people know. Phil then reads the letter on the bench, still on the same night she killed herself and the entire square found out she was dead.

Next episode is the next day, Martin and Stacey's wedding. This is where we're up to now with all this Bobby business. As for the Mitchells well Jay is walking around eating chips, Louise and Bex chasing Shakil, Ben vs Stacey, Roxy drugs mule and Ronnie spending time with Andy. It was just last night that they found Peggy and the family are all over the square doing their own thing.

I've heard that Peggy's ghost is to visit Walford one last time. Word on the street is that she screams in Bobby's face

"Sling yer 'ook Beale. Go on. GEWATTAMADEATH!!"

And then Bob will use his hockey stick to vanquish her back to the underworld from whence she came.

The whole Square should be mourning the Queen of the Square's passing

Phil was still upset about it last night. He had just returned from a walk to clear his head when Ben told him about Bobby confessing about Lucy. We are still on the day after.

I agree Ronnie is a bit too happy though, Roxy however probably didn't know Peggy had died until she came to the Square but is too full of drugs to take anything else in.

Even though I didn't like Peggy as a character, I did like her latest return and thought her death was handled very well. I enjoyed last weeks episodes. I have always liked Babs and I'm pleased that they did her proud. Unlike others on here who thought there was too much other stuff going on, or that this person or that person should be informed etc. I don't think it would have mattered what they did, you'll never keep everybody happy and even though I didn't like Peggy in her screeching mode, I have to say in her quiet contemplative return she played it just right and it was emotional, well acted and touching so fair play.

Sure hope the writers will remember. It's the one & only reason I started watching EE again.

Didn't Billy say something about it feeling wrong that they're having a good time at Stacey and Martin's reception. Then Jack said Peggy would want them to before raising a toast?

Plus, most of the Mitchells are selfish people. There's only Phil, Ben and Sharon who would really give a toss about Peggy, and they've got other things on their minds with what's happened to Jane. Although you can tell Phil is still affected.

Why?

Angie has not been seen in the square since 1988 and died 14 years ago.

People should be over it by now.

Clever Before my time but I watched an old ep the other day and Angie seems like she was a great character

That went out in the 1960's. One of my mums neighbours still does that but only so it gives her an excuse to walk door to door to have a good gab.

It's the day after her death. It's not hard to understand. Ben, Roxy and Phil are still showing signs of mourning. The rest of the square have become a little distracted with somebody else potentially being killed by Bobby. It's not forgotten about. It's all still on-going.

In terms of local interest, I'd say that the death of an elderly former pub landlady who hasn't lived there for years ranks well below a child beating his adoptive mother nearly to death and confessing to the murder of his sister, for which another man is in the nick.

I know which one people round my way would be talking about, for sure.
