Need to buy Champagne?
My dad is 65 on Sunday, and I'm looking at buying him a bottle of Champagne.
I'm disabled, so having limited options on where to get it and a budget of £35/£40 pounds. Nearest shops are Convience versions of Tesco and Coop. And online Amazon or I noticed this morning Moonpig do some. Dad is going to a Tesco Extra on Friday, He would get me a bottle there, but he wouldn't be honest with the price, he would lower it, and plus I don't really want him to see what I bought |

Not as sweet as Moet & some of the other popular brands. Or more expensive, but a lovely summer picnic drink- http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/sains...ose_750ml.html |

Thanks for the suggestions will probably have to get something tomorrow.
I have bought champagne from the convenience stores nearby before, they seem to do a cheap, a middle and an expensive. But only ever seem to have a bottle of each on the shop floor, so it is take your luck |

Just get him some Tesco Cava or Prosecco. He'll never notice the difference.

I've heard that Aldi sell champagne at £9.99 a bottle (or maybe £10.99) that is suppose it good, even with champagne drinkers.
It's not a drink that I particularly enjoy so I can't comment personally. |
