That's an almighty chip on your shoulder.

It's so big, it seems to be causing you to make up complete and utter bullshit.
No, I'm pretty sure that it's actually a fact and not made up bullshit that Liverpool games at home against the likes of Exeter and Oldham have been somehow been selected for live TV in the last year or two.

Not a chip, just someone who'd like to see the most interesting ties on TV from time to time rather than boring old Liverpool and Man Utd at home against anybody.

Are Chelsea in the Champions League this season? When did that happen?
As painful as it is he/she is obviously talking about Leicester and not Chelsea.

Liverpool v Oldham was not shown on TV. So yes, that is "made up bullshit". In any case, that was in the FA Cup, which Sky don't have the rights to.

Liverpool v Exeter was also in the FA Cup, but was also a replay. That dilutes whatever point you were trying to make.

So it seems the chip on your shoulder is causing you to make up bullshit.

Cue repeated showings of George Best's six goals for Man Utd away to Northampton in 1970 in the build-up to this one. I seem to remember that being the case when they met in the FA Cup in about 2004.

Seems I made a bit of a tit of myself with the Liverpool Oldham, could have sworn it was on live. Maybe it was a stream somebody had on at the time, because I'm sure I had a moan about being made to watch it!

Wasn't it shown for international coverage on a Friday night?

Liverpool game will definitely be shown live, it's the law. Sky choose them because of all the plastic supporters aka viewing figures even when they're at home to L1 opposition regardless of the attractiveness of other ties.

To be fair Derby v Liverpool is an attractive game, on paper, so it'll get the pick ahead of Forest v Arsenal - Liverpool did put a strong side out the other night, Arsenal probably won't do. Leicester v Chelsea is likely to be largely second string players as well, they're more bothered about the Champs League than the EFL Cup.
You make that ridiculous statement and then contradict yourself petty much throughout the rest of your post.

Good viewing figures (and a full stadium every single game) suggests anything but plastic supporters.

Personally I would go with Forest v Arsenal and Northampton v Man U.

Jose has been a fan of the League Cup over the years so I think he will play a quality first 11, Aresne is likely to make 8 or 9 changes, but That could swing it into Forests favor.

Personally im pleased Everton got Norwich at Goodison

Leicester v Chelsea, Tuesday 20th September, 7.45pm
Northampton v Man Utd, Wednesday 21st September, 7.45pm

Very disappointed to see Leicester v Chelsea picked personally. Would much rather have seen Forest v Arsenal or Derby v Liverpool.

I suppose the narrative for Leicester v Chelsea is that this competition really matters (or at least it should) to Chelsea. However, I can's see Leicester fielding a first XI.

Couldnt agree more. We see enough of Chelsea and Leicester week in week out in the prem. A cup competition is surely all about potential shocks so either the Forest or Derby ties should have been chosen ahead of this one. I definitely wont bother with the Leicester game and I am sure many others will probably think the same.

Yes, was sure we would have got Forest vs Arsenal because it reminded me of Sheff Wed vs Arsenal last season - a sleeping giant (with a decent fanbase) at home to a big, big club. It sounds an attractive tie. Derby vs Liverpool less so, if only because it doesn't offer anything we didn't get in this round just gone, and Derby have played more big teams more recently.

Reminds me a bit of when Sky didn't show Chelsea vs Liverpool a few seasons back because they couldn't get it played on the night they wanted, and showed Man U vs Palace (?) instead. Though I might have imagined that, because apparently they always pick Liverpool.

Perhaps Sky have finally realised Arsenal don't give two hoots about the league cup and are not worth showing?

I have to say, rather surprised to see Derby Liverpool not picked for TV!
Forest Arsenal is also alot better tie to chose from.

Possible we will see Sky add a 3rd game like they did last season once?
Because one of those games deserves TV coverage IMHO!

Absolutely, what a shocking pick the Leicester game is, there really is no reason at all why that should of been picked over Derby or even the Arsenal game.

We all knock TV picks at some stage but thats a bad one pick for quite a while.

I don't understand why they've picked Leicester and Chelsea at all? If Leicester had not won the league this game wouldn't have been picked

Personally for me.. Cup picks should be a lower league side at home to a higher side (ie chance of a shock) makes it more exciting!

To pick an all premier league tie this early is silly as the chances are one of those sides will be shown more than twice in the efl cup now

I don't think they've ever done that, have they? If they wanted to show another game, they'd have picked it. Showing another one on Monday or Thursday would also mean the teams involve would have to rearrange weekend fixtures.

I'm not going to cry too much about picks, mind. It's only the third round of the League Cup.

I dont get why people moan about the picks, just watch Soccer Special, which these days shows the majority of the goals as they go in anyway

Sky I think show the EFL Cup Goals, at Games, where they have a reporter.

On reporters Michelle Owen is quite yummy
