Bolton I think also generally always kick off at 8pm when at home.
As for Sky deciding KO times, I don't think they do for midweek games, clubs and authorities do Manchester transport around rush hour whether public or driving isn't great and football at OT can make it pretty unpleasant |

Wondered if this had been mentioned on here... (Villa/Newcastle up against Arsenal/Chelsea)
I find this decision by Sky utterly baffling. I know the one pro argument (put something up against BT) But there are so many reasons not to do it. Sunday has to be one of the worst Sundays on sky in recent years. But who cares about the viewers when we have a petty battle to try and win. It is a bit unusual that there's no English football until 4pm on Sunday, but presumably they decided the Scottish match was enough. Rangers certainly have a bloody big fanbase, probably bigger than Villa and Newcastle. If they moved Villa vs Newcastle to Sunday, what do they show on Saturday at 5.30 instead? You would assume Sky would rather have their big games against no other football to get the biggest audience possible. |

I will probably go for Villa v Newcastle over Arsenal v Chelsea, because uni will get Arsenal v Chelsea on MOTD as Highlights, and you normally find the big matches, aren't usually that great after all.
As for Sunday, Aberdeen v Rangers could be really good, it is often those games you think wont be good, really are. Going by Skys Schedule thought you would think the Ryder Cup was this weekend and not next |

They have to, it was part of the deal for the new ground, again based around transport

But Saturday at 5.30 is the regular slot for Football League matches on Sky, so it's not like they've deliberately moved it to an unusual kick-off time to spite BT. There are Championship matches there nine times out of ten. Yes, it's quite a big game tomorrow, but that's the way the fixtures have fallen.
. And let's be honest about this, they move the EFL around in all sorts of timeslots so I'm sure both clubs wouldn't have minded a Sunday lunchtime kick off. Your point about the way the fixtures have fallen is where I'm coming from. It's the stand out game of the 1st half of the championship season. Why compete with premier league heavyweights. It's not doing anyone any good |

There is a full fixture list on Tuesday
Seems silly to play a game on Sunday when Saturday is available |

Even though it's over 2 months away, I'd be surprised if Norwich v Huddersfield is overlooked on the weekend of Dec 17th. Ok things may change in the next 2 months, but they may not, and right now it'd be 2nd v 1st, so it's got to be under strong consideration you'd imagine.

Is there any confirmation of this 10 in 10 that Sky are doing?
I admit that it seems likely that will be doing it, (they did it last year) but the first weekend of December is the 3rd/4th December, the final round of champions league games is 6th/7th December and Sky are hardly likely to do 10 in 10 during the final round of champions league games. If they do it I guess they start it on 10th December and I would guess MK Dons v AFC Wimbledon will be on that weekend, (either on the Saturday or possibly moved to the Sunday.) |

Oh, and Franchise and AFC have already met competitively since the latter's elevation to the Football League (it will always remain that, not this EFL nonsense) |

Not all the 10 in 10 were from the championship last year and they won't be this year. Part of the point is that it is meant to showcase the whole of the Football League and not just the championship.
I don't think Sky would class the MK Dons v AFC Wimbledon clash as a waste anyway. Last season Sky had 8 championship games and 2 League 1 games. Were those League 1 games both wasted then? Anyway I am going to predict the 10 in 10. Friday 9th December - Newcastle v Birmingham Saturday 10th December - Derby v Nottingham Forest Sunday 11th December - MK Dons v AFC Wimbledon Monday 12th December - Norwich City v Aston Villa Tuesday 13th December - Leeds v Reading Wednesday 14th December - Wigan v Newcastle Thursday 15th December - QPR v Aston Villa Friday 16th December - Nottingham Forest v Wolves Saturday 17th December - Norwich v Huddersfield Sunday 18th December - Coventry v Sheffield United |

Leeds v Villa and Villa v Leeds both shown in December seems a bit silly to me.

There seems to be a bit of an Aston Villa overkill as well - on four times, including twice in the "10 in 10", despite languishing near the bottom. I know they're a big draw and a "big team out of their league" (not an expression I like), but it seems they're the new Leeds - no matter how shit they are, their games will be shown. Obviously if they end up in real danger of relegation it would be a big story, but it's far too early in the season for that IMO. |

I'm not sure I get this whole '10 in 10 days concept' - what is the point of it? If it is to showcase the Football League, then why not spread the love a bit more?
As mentioned, no League 2 game featured - just like there wasn't last year. Surely this is an ideal opportunity? |
