Several clubs appear to be confirming date and kick off times for their 1st round games on Tuesday
So Sky must have picked but not announced |

I disagree
A club would not at this stage for the League Cup announce dates and times if it was to then change them for Sky |

Wolves confirmed their match with Crawley within 2 hours of the draw being made, before any tie would have been confirmed.

As I can't edit my original post I think they'll pick:
Luton Town v Aston Villa Fleetwood Town v Leeds United Doncaster Rovers v Nottingham Forest Cambridge United v Sheffield Wednesday I guess they might pick Leyton Orient v Fulham as a 'derby' of sorts over the Cambridge game though. |

I don't know if MODS read this, but maybe this thread, could have League Cup merged into the title I started this thread but would not know how to do it.
From Round 2, are the draws going to go back to after the second televised game, and shown live. Or are they all going to be like the Round 1 draw, where you have to go on there website, or the Sky Sports app to view. |

They can only pick two matches.
I think if the highest league side is at home, it will be obvious it is not going to be picked for TV, but announcing the kickoff time for that game, does NOT mean that the 2 games for TV HAVE been picked though. |

That's a pointless fixture especially as we know sky will show them about 15 times. Forest vs Burton for the Clough factor would be a better pick. Similarly Sky should definitely pick Burton Derby on 27th August |

Fulham v QPR now altered to a lunchtime kickoff.
"Fulham's West London derby against Queens Park Rangers at Craven Cottage on Saturday 1st October will now kick-off at the earlier time of 12.45pm." http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2016/ju...ck-off-for-qpr |

Odd that its 1245, I'm guessing both teams just agreed it. Unlikely to move again (surely) which means first batch of games should cover up to 15th Oct.
Spfl neatly tucked in on opening weekend, with games at 12, 2.15 and 4.30 As I've said before like a broken record, would be sensible for sky to ask pl to have those kick off times each week, and slot games in |

Will enjoying watching Luton v Aston Villa, I love kenilworth Road, cause of the grounds kinda old fashioned look.
You wouldn't get a stadium built, with one stand mainly being chalets these days |

Swindon Bristol Rovers is a good shout for the first international weekend because it's a local and potentially heated derby. As is Mansfield Notts County for the 2nd international weekend

I'd find that game more interesting if it was at the Pirelli to see how Forest cope away at such a small ground
Similarly Sky should definitely pick Burton Derby on 27th August Specifically I think Burton Albion v Aston Villa is an absolute must for live TV. I know the Brewers are seen as an East Midlands team nationally, but their part of Staffordshire is close to a big catchment area for Villa fans including towns like Tamworth and Lichfield and there is sure to be a huge demand for away tickets that their ground simply won't be able to accommodate. I'm a Walsall supporter and was very fortunate to be able to get a ticket for last season's Burton v Walsall match (I got one of the very last few in what was a packed out away stand where there was barely room to move). Not only are the teams relatively local but it was a top of the table clash (the draw turned out to be key as things turned out ), so there was a massive demand from Saddlers fans and we completely sold out our 1,850 allocation. Such was the demand, it was an all-ticket game with sales tiered to season ticket holders and then people who could prove they'd watched us both home and away that season. If Walsall - whose typical attendance is around 5,000 - can easily sell out Burton's away end and has to structure ticket sales this way, then you can only imagine the demand from Villa who even despite a dreadful season last term still average over 34,000 fans at home. I think the sensible and responsible thing to do would be to put a game like that on television as there is guaranteed to be a considerable demand to see it from Villa fans who follow their club home and away, yet simply won't be able to acquire a ticket in either end of a sub-7,000 capacity stadium. If you are showing 120-odd Championship games per season, then it makes sense to put the small club v local rival with massive fanbase games on TV, in the same way that Sky Sports and others have always looked at broadcasting Celtic and Rangers away games at smaller grounds where the away ends are packed, rather than their home games at 50,000+ seater stadiums where there is nearly always nothing stopping fans who want to go from getting tickets. |

Swindon v Bristol Rovers is actually on Saturday 27th August and the kick-off time for that game has now been changed
http://www.swindontownfc.co.uk/news/...d-3161187.aspx Swindon v Bolton has also had it's kick-off time changed as well http://www.swindontownfc.co.uk/news/...d-3159667.aspx Whilst on the subject of possible L1 games shown live during international windows, Swindon v Charlton could be one for the November window (12th November), with an extra edge given of Swindon's top goalscorer last season Nicky Ajose, having signed for Charlton earlier this week. 12th November County are away at Blackpool. Two big League Two sides plus the general situation at Blackpool makes that game a good pick for Sky |
