I was surprised at this, given Gillingham v Walsall was scheduled that weekend, with both teams battling for automatic promotion at that stage it looked by far the best League One game of the weekend. But Walsall had four or five internationals in their squad at that point and the game was duly postponed and rescheduled. So it was a shrewd move by Sky Sports to avoid opting for that game, despite it being a better choice on paper, given the likelihood of the postponement.
I'm not fully clued up on how the squads of the six selected teams have changed over the summer, but I can't remember any of the four teams that were in League One last season having many internationals or being the subject of an international call-off. So I think Sky Sports will have done their homework and are on safe ground.
Glad to see Burton Albion v Derby County being picked. As I mentioned on here a few weeks ago, the away section at the Pirelli is among the smallest in the Football League and is guaranteed to be unable to fully satisfy supporters' demand when their local rivals are in town, so it's the sort of game that I feel absolutely merits live TV coverage.”
2 seasons ago, Swindon had games called off during the September and October international windows because of call-ups. Bit surprised they've chosen our game at Peterborough, whereas I'd have thought at least 2 of the promoted clubs would have been shown, as they come with more of a narrative, rather than 2 mid-table also-rans from last season (though Northampton v Franchise is being shown on the Sunday and was always going to be a shoo-in for live coverage). However, as I mentioned last season, if you're looking for goals, then games involving Swindon Town is where it's at. From January 2015, Swindon have been shown 7 times live on Sky and there have been a total of 31 goals (with 20 of them in our net

). Suffice to say, 0-0 it will not be!
