She presents a lot of football coverage on BT Sport, some Europa League, Champions League and FA Cup. She's not too bad actually.

Of course Darren Fletcher and Robbie Savage will have BT commitments on a Saturday evening now

I think she prefers the 606 show with Ian Wright

But that would mean he couldn't do BT games ???

Maybe it will be Savage and Cates ???

Likely, Savage still could pop up on Sunday/midweek games.

Also she's married to Dan Hipgrave from the group Toploader (they of "Dancing in the Moonlight" fame); he was previously married to Gail Porter.

Maybe BT have realised that "Fletch and Sav" is hideous and have come to their senses.

Fletch and Sav finished in May, they went to town, had the best bits of all the series and stuff.

When are Sky going to realise that we play Football in England and not bloody soccer

Soccer AM
Soccer Saturday
Soccer Special

I'll defend Sky on their use of the word soccer. It is to association football what rugger is to rugby football. And given that Sky show soccer, rugger and the NFL, I think it is more than acceptable to use the word soccer to avoid confusion.

Also in the case of Soccer Saturday and Soccer Special Sky are clearly using alliteration.

If sky have to use the prefix soccer to avoid confusion then why is one of their programs called Monday night football?

Okay, it's about alliteration as wolvesdavid says.

So what alliteration will they come up with for the Friday games ??

The branding will almost certainly be "Friday Night Football", which is almost alliterative.

But I think this is being overthought. Soccer Saturday rolls of the tongue like Football First (as-was), as opposed to "Football Saturday" or "Soccer First". It's just a case of selecting the right words to create a catchy name that sticks in people's minds.

In the case of Soccer AM...well, it is kind of America-esque in its presentation...

The one programme that does have an odd title, however, is "Soccer Extra", the post-bank holiday version of Goals on Sunday. It's such a massive departure from the name of its parent show; something like "Goals on <day>" would make much more sense.

Wasn't it called 'Soccer Extra' because ITV had a show called 'Football League Extra'??
