Wash your mouth out with soap and water, Hollyoaks has been total irredeemable Shite for years now.

Analysis of Emmerdale stoylines

Bit of a strange episode to say the least.

1) Ronnie - he seemed more upset by the slap from Lawrence than he was by Lawrence actually sending a man with a gun to scare him away. He was nice to Sam at least so seems a nice bloke.

2) Lawrence - What is lawrence's problem Ronnie exactly?, has worked himself into a right hysterical tizzy and seems to have lost his mind completely.

3) Sam - doesn't make a good fake hit man and isn't cut out for this kind of thing.

4) Rodney - did anybody miss him and his pony tail and his neck string, no? I thought not

5) Blue Charity not as observant as she normally is.

6) Holly _ actress in my opinion doing better than when she arrived, managing to act for 1% of the time now. Coming on to Cainl and sticking you hand in an ants nest would be more sensible than annoying Charity to that extent

7) Dull Dan was incredibly dull

8) Jimmy was being very Jimmy

9) Adam not exactly supportive of his sister his he

10 Shut up Brenda and Doug even though he wasn't even in the episode

Are the good actors on holiday because we seem to have been left with the B Team a load of Children and Ashley.?

Would you agree with me Corrie is a better watch when they don't spoiler what's going to happen minute to minute in great detail 6 months before the episode happens, like last night in fact.

(Not having read the corrie thread yet no doubt they will still call it shit and the worst ever episode ever like they do every episode, while still watching every episode)”

I see I was entirely correct.

Can I take your temperature?

I like the basics of it. I think Lawrence's past with Ronnie is and could be really interesting. I've been waiting to find out for ages. But the way it's being done ... sending Sammy to wave a gun in his face? Mental!

Bit unfair. I used to laugh out loud at Val and Kerry and often Bernice as well. But last night's didn't raise a titter. I must have a different sense of humour.

The humour used to come from well written dialogue - witty and ironic - character driven personalities.

Now the humour is either about having characters look like stupid idiots (Jimmy) or cheap gimmicks like "Oooh look - Charity's hair is blue"

Sophisticated humour it definitely isn't it

I wasn't meaning you especially I mean DS in general.

Hi kwynne, just back from t'shops.
Yes, Corrie is far better when they forget to publish the entire script in advance. I normally feel like I'm watching a film or reading a book for the second time and know what's going to happen all the way through.
And yes, of course the ep thread hated every second of it as usual.

Holly's attempt to kiss Cain by launching herself on him was hilarious, nothing about the actress performance is natural.

To be honest, the funniest thing last night was Larry having a breakdown while stroking an unloaded gun, but not sure if that's what was intended.

She does remind me a lot of Kirin. He couldn't even run across the road convincingly.

I don't think Kirin was that bad!

Absence has clearly made the heart grow fonder.

Though to be fair, no one is actually worse than Holly.

Almost every actor on Hollyoaks is much worse.

Tbf, I don't think he was that bad either, relatively speaking, but his goose was pretty much cooked and he was on a hiding to nothing here on DS from the day he turned up looking nearer 30 than 17 and immediately became known as Not17.

Indeed.

Am sulking because thy bought a sponge cake and a chocolate cake and they put the choc away for another day and the sponge has particularly vile jam filling bah.

A serious case of the casting dept thinking they could get away with anything and we'd just suck it up because we're too stupid to notice.

It's a tough call. Neither of them seem to have the ability to come off as realistic carbon-based lifeforms.

Well now that IS true. I think Hollyoaks abandoned the acting ability requirement for their cast a few years ago now.

Not17 is one of my all time fave DS nicknames.

Poor Kirin.

I wonder if that daughter of Rakesh's that they namedropped really emphatically a while back will ever turn up? They seem to have forgotten about her, and I wanted to meet her.

She's hiding in the same script cupboard as Rebecca White & Moira's mum

Yep, it's called 'The Rainy Day Cupboard'.

Soon as NewProducer starts struggling for ideas, all three will turn up - probably in the same week - and be living/working in t'village and interacting with the other characters as if they've been there forever.

If rakesh or Lawrence don't see out the summer we may never see them, I remember Katie originally had an older brother who never turned up, hell even her own mum didn't make two of her weddings or her funeral....was this ever explained, did no one find it weird that after Andys break down Robert was left to plan her funeral when her mum is still alive.
