So tonight we said goodbye* to the Kabin's newspaper statuette after 21 years on the street.

RIP.

c.1995 - 2016

You will be missed.

*I assume that was the person that Tyrone thought he had run over?

Poor Statue

At least it made the noble sacrifice of blocking Jenny Bradley from the path of the car, that would have been an even sadder day.

This is nearly as sad as when we said RIP about what's her name.

Do you think we will get a 10 minute montage of their best bits at the BSA's?

It sucks when they always let the good actors go.

ITV to screen 'Goodbye Paperboy' documentary.

Coronation Street's Paperboy statuette will be honoured in a tribute documentary on ITV next week.

Goodbye Paperboy will look back at the silent stalwart's life on Coronation Street, showing clips of his best moments, including his escape from the explosive tram crash disaster in 2010 and the shock kidnap plot that gripped the nation in 2014. Former Coronation Street star Denise Welch will narrate the half-hour special, in which cast members including Barbara Knox, Malcolm Hebden and Thelma Barlow will pay tribute to the work of the fibreglass statuette.

I didn't even realise the paperboy got run over, only just rewatched it now and I think he's a hero for saving JennehBradleh's life.

I was extremely worried for a moment when we saw Carla revving her car and Jenny Bradley in the middle of the road with the paperboy.

What on earth?! We clearly see Cathy head back into the shop, yet a split second later she's a few yards down the street!

Sorry, that's probably in bad taste. RIP Paperboy.

I did too, I was convinced Jenny would be a shock and that was not going to happen. She's been one of the best things about this week.

Poor Cathy, her legs went like jelly

Fiz's screaming

Actually Pandora, you're right. The editing of the scenes is just a few seconds out. Cathy is back within the shop doorway in the first shot then by the reverse shot she's back out in the street.
