my Facebook feed - metro and the sun are terrible. several articles a day about people complaining about something trivial. there have been plenty regarding bgt.
get over it , u think oh that's bad and move on. not wasting time moaning on social media and calling ofcom over every little thing.
this complaints culture is ridiculous

There does seem to be more of a campaign in the media this year to try and squeeze out some outrage where there isn't any.

The latest one was that viewers were apparently "sickened" that the dog act didn't get through last night, which was "another controversy" apparently.

It does seem more concerted this year than other years.

Tonight we heard Alisha refer to a group of male singers as 'chocolate men' something which should surely be considered totally unacceptable in this day and age, it was like something you'd expect from Bernard Manning in the 1970s.

If that wasn't bad enough, we then had to endure Amanda Holden repeatedly referring to some dancers of Oriental origin as 'subhuman'.

None of these terms are acceptable in this day and age, and certainly not on a family television show.

What's Ofcoms number?
I wasn't offended by Alisha's comment, but it was unnecessary.

I'm not really a fan of them flirting with the acts anyway, but if one of the other three had said that, everyone would be calling them racist, but it's okay for Alisha to do it, because she is black too? Sure looks like it.

I hate this whole media trained society we seem to live in these days you can't say this you can't say that I swear some people will only be people when people are talking robots or nodding dogs
Talking robots and nodding dogs are coincidentally also the type of acts you might find on BGT.

Political Correctness can rot in hell.

It's only a TV show.
"Politically correct (being essentially a buzzword anyway) doesn’t mean “here are some words we don’t allow” what it means is “lets all try to use our protected right of free speech in a way that doesn’t make us sound like uneducated bigoted assh*les”. That responsibility isn’t censorship its common sense??? Its how to be a decent person???? Y'all out here fighting people who literally just want minorities to stop experiencing verbal abuse. You’re not intelligent for this and you’re not enlightened or edgy. You’re a jerk who prioritizes your own ability to say mean or stupid stuff and still feel justified enough to not develop yourself as a person at all over the happiness and security of other, more vulnerable human beings. And when you “exercise your right” by saying things that reinforce dangerous stereotypes, you ultimately miseducate and incite violence, and therefore oppress those around you. Take some responsibility for yourself and stop hiding behind a privilege that was guaranteed to you by a group of slave owners."
