I have a friend who knows her. She's auditioning this year. Apparently she auditioned in 2014, although I don't remember it. The judges loved her and thought she was amazing but she was let go and scouted for last years series, however for personal reasons she couldn't audition. They've scouted her again this year and she's going for it. I loved her during Pop Idol. I actually thought she should have won.

That was really rather nice It seems so long ago, XF would never do this now but there's no elaborate staging, no effects, no dancers, and she hasnt been given an OTT makeover (I guess?), she looks like an ordinary girl you'd meet anywhere.

I'm sure she performed Beautiful by Christina at some point and Simon told her she had changed the game and could win. I can't find a video of it though.

I think she was engaged to Mark Rhodes of same series and Sam and Mark fame . They were both very young and didn't last

Pop idol was always just the act, on their own, on the stage singing.

She did and I'm pretty sure it was her first audition. It knocked everyone for six.

She was my favourite that year. Simon talked about her in his autobiography that came out around the same time. Apparently a rumour circulated that she called Michelle McManus a fat cow. I don't think anyone believed it, but the media attention it created threw her off her game and she never recovered.
