EastEnders was also really good last week. Monday and Tuesday's episodes however were the best in a long time!
Corrie started off quite boring, but majorly picked itself up in the epiaode just gone and tonight's looks set to be even better. ![]() It's rare both soaps are on top form at the same time. |

EastEnders has had me gripped
The last ten minutes of tonight's Corrie were great but the rest has been pretty dire IMO |

Corrie managed to pull 10 minutes of gripping stuff out of the bag. The rest has been appalling drivel.

The two can't even be compared; EE is in a league of it;s own right now and has run away this past week. Emmerdale is second, not near EE but still smiles ahead of Corrie.
Meanwhile Corrie seems to be going backwards. The only bit of drama was the final few minutes of tonight's episode and even that seems to have been dropped by tomorrow. |

Corrie only got good once the car crash happened in last nights episode (which took me by surprise as I had no clue it would happen). So out of 4 episodes during BGT week approximately 10 minutes out of 2 hours has been any good so far.

Corrie has been awful in a "so bad but i have to watch as we are seeing conclusions this week" type of way.
Emmerdale seems to be having a bit of a filler week. |

Emmerdale hasn't felt the need to jump on the BGT week bandwagon and is all the better for it.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. 5 minutes of good stuff at the end of the ep and near the end of the so called special week doesn't mean it's on form lol - the rest of the week and rest of yesterday's episode apart from the end was still dire. I think people are getting too giddy about the ending and forgetting how bad it was before lol.

I've found most of Eastenders brilliant while some of Corrie has been other parts not so much.

Not much to choose between EE and Corrie both have gone for the OTT drama during BGT week storylines.

Emmerdale has been more relaxed this week, but we know it will get busy again.
With Corrie and Eastenders, I guess it is 2 things, the soap awards are coming up, plus you have the producers leaving, and they probably want there major storylines completed while there still working there, and not a new producer having there name there. Paula Lane leaving Corrie, might have been another reason |

Corries going too slowly. Three days waiting for something to happen (Tracey breaking up the wedding) and when that finally happened it was anti-climactic. The last ten minutes or so of last night were great, but it's not enough to say the week is excellent. Corrie did that stunt well though.
I'll admit that last night I was cursing silently that EE wasn't on. That has me hooked so far. |

Really? Wasn't it in the tomorrow clip at the end of Tuesday's ep? Sure I saw it .. I knew it was happening or you could at least get the gist (they spoil way too much)

No way has Corrie been brilliant. 5 minutes of drama does not make up for 2 years of tedium.
I know its easy to jump on any sort of 'exciting' drama on Corrie, god knows we've been waiting for this for years under Blackburn, but yet again, like the Victoria Court fire, every big storyline ends up occuring through contrived scenes. Last year the VC fire, Kal stayed on the balcony to propose to Leanne when there was a dure burning behind him. Nevermind climbing down and then doing it. Its as if the director/script said, Kal just fill time until you burn to death. This year Tvyone and Fizz just happen to be coming back for the drama of picking Fizz's dress, Tyrone just happens to be impatient with Roy, when he never usually is. Its all so lazy. Hopefully Kate Oates can scrap as any storylines by Blackburn coming up as soon as possible. |

I thought that EastEnders was really outshining anything Corrie had to offer this week...until the end of last night's Corrie episode, which was absolutely gripping!

Let's face it Corrie has been dreadful for so long, it doesn't have to show much of an improvement, for it to appear much better. But for the 1st time in a good while I looked forward to watching it.
