It's a pity that Lauren and Peter aren't together anymore. I invested in them as a couple. I think Lauren and Peter called time on their relationship after Max's arrest.

I was never a huge fan of either of their characters but I did think they made a very believable couple. I think it's a real shame if Lauren and Steven have got into a relationship. I'd have readily believed that Lauren and Peter couldn't stay together in the end because of the magnitude of what they knew about Bobby, and Max being framed by Peter's family for it. An affair, especially the old cliched affair of a female soap character cheating on one brother with the other, is just completely over-egging the pudding.

Brilliant summary. I believed in their relationship because Peter and Lauren grew up together and they were close friends when they were in their teens. I also think Ben and Jacqueline had good chemistry. Yep they couldn't realistically stay together when Max was falsely arrested for Lucy's murder. Lauren is family oriented and she loves her father but there's no way she would be happy that her dad is rotting in prison for a crime he didn't commit. Lauren tried to tell the police the truth about Bobby but DS Bryant dismissed her claims and acted unprofessional towards her. If Lauren and Steven are in a relationship, I will be very disappointed with the producers. It wouldn't be realistic, in my opinion.

Gonna be disappointed if this turns out to be true.

Hope Steven comes back a lot more mature and makes positive moves for the Beales. Couldn't stand him doing the same whole act over again.

I hope this isn't true principal reason is that Lauren works best as a stand alone character .
I noticed in this era of eastenders is that the principal females are all written as not being able to survive without men .

I have a bad feeling this is true as Lauren doesn't answer the question as to why she is back without Peter .

Lauren has had zero chemistry with any of her male "leads". The nadir was Joey. She should be unfettered.

This forum is filled with a lot of posters who confuse fantasy with fact, so it's understandable that some people are a bit seceptical when spoilers are posted without a valid source. That said, I've also seen a lot of spoilers get revealed early so it's always best to keep an open mind.

I'm going to guess that Lauren's conscience began to get the better of her (regarding Max) and causes friction with Peter, so she's come back but Peter will still be team Bobby.

Steven probably doesn't know the truth about who killed his beloved sister, and discovers it pretty quickly upon return. He'll be conflicted between hate for killing Lucy but understanding what it's like to be a messed up kid.

I wish they had kept Lauren and Steven as friends. In fact, with them going on about turning EE into Shoreditch or whatever they could really have utilised this pair. Especially as Lauren was once into her art, maybe they could have gone into business together.
