Is the corner shop the most unluckiest soap location, maybe even more so than the infamous number 10 Brookside Close. Throughout Corrie's history it has always been a platform for destruction and despair. You have the 1968 and 2010 train and tram crashes which destroyed and flattened the shop (1968 crash did not cause as much carnage as 2010, but I do believe it destroyed the entrance and caused obstruction for a while). Then there was the 2004 fire and explosion by Mad Maya which guttered the shop and then to add to the list we have Cathy being mowed down right outside the entrance and Carla more or less just missing the actual shop again. Not to mention when the McDonald brothers drove a digger into the shop window as well Dev's insurance premiums must be sky high !!!

It has a unlucky shop.

And on Dev and the insurance, remember he used to have to insure 7 shops, now 1 so don't feel for him

Haha and even then every single one was burned down to the ground by his ex "Mad" Maya Sharma. Then again each shop was for each child he had, had with his various flings. We only ever saw Amber from all his estranged children.
