Have I misheard or misunderstood?
I was sure that the wildcard places, both judge and public, can only come from the acts that came 'third' as in the acts that came second or third and were not picked by the judges.
Last night David made some comment about his golden buzzer act still having a chance through the wild card, and then Simon said the same about the polar bears? Also I have seen people on here allude to acts that came 4-9 of a given night, being a possible wild card? what am I missing? |

No, I'm pretty sure it's just the third placed act on each night that's eligible. People just getting confused (or wishful thinking
)

That still seems to be from the third-placed acts, though.

There are 2 wild cards, one is the public wildcard which is done after tonight's last semi final and is basically the public get to vote from the 5 3rd place acts, and the other wildcard is the judges which I guess is they get to pick any act that did not get through the semi final stage

There have to be two wildcards otherwise you would only have 11 acts in the final

Out of the 45 acts, you the viewer will be able to pick a Wild Card from the five people who come 3rd in each of the Semi-Finals. http://www.itv.com/britainsgottalent...-have-your-sayThe Judges will then also pick their own Wild Card from the remaining Semi-Finalists, meaning two extra acts will feature in next Saturday's Grand Final (May 28)! The vote will open after Thursday's show (May 26)... who will YOU pick as your Wild Card? We can't wait to find out... So the five third placed acts battle it out for one wildcard place and then the judges choose another wildcard from all the remaining acts who were placed 4-9 in the semi finals. That's how it reads to me. |

If they placed 4-9 in semi-finals, what's the point?

You'll have to ask the producers that. That is what's on the show's website.

If the judges are choosing after the show tonight (I'm sure that's what Ant and Dec said at the start of tonight's show) then surely they can only choose from the 4th-9th placed acts since they don't know the result of the public wildcard vote yet.
