Absolutely nothing. But Spurs have form for it.

Any such requests should be summarily refused.

Newport v Plymouth has now got to be a very likely pick with BT saying

They have a chance to play at Anfield in next round ....

It is worth pointing out, though, that in many of those seasons Man U didn't do all that much in the FA Cup, in a couple they went out in the third round, so the number of televised games that season would be one. I'm pretty sure they've shown more Liverpool matches live on TV in the past ten years, because they have a better record in the Cup.

Also, I don't think there are many occasions when there were five matches more interesting than the Man U match. Like this occasion. Be different if they were only showing one.

So BT will have the Monday night game? In that case I'd say Preston v Arsenal would be either the early or late Sunday KO

are 2 possible picks so far”

There is now the possibility that Plymouth v Newport will be shown the following mid week Weds 21st Dec

Is there something amiss with using BBC TWO?

The Third Round is where the real value of the rights kicks in. That means BBC One.

I've heard it all....or Theresa said so. No disrespect to Emilia Fox, but how gaunt she looks it's a wonder she isn't on the slab!

Makes sense for BT to shift them to that week as they have little live content during that time while the week before is pretty hectic.

From the BBC:

Friday 6 January

MOTD FA Cup Live - Teams TBC
Live coverage from one of the weekend’s standout fixtures from the FA Cup third round, one of the most eagerly anticipated weekends in the football calendar.

The third round is the point at which the big guns of the Premier League and Championship enter the fray, in the oldest and greatest domestic cup competition in the world of football.

Of course, none of the schedules for the first week of January onwards are confirmed at the moment.

More importantly

If it was going to be Monday or Thursday

4 League matches may have been moved at very short notice

Having the Replays on Tuesday and Wednesday 21 December, is a nice surprise, as it was looking like a week with no football at all

I am guessing that TV Picks should be out either this afternoon or Friday

Some clubs are confirming times already (Ie not selected by TV)

Middlesbrough v Sheffield Wednesday Sunday at 3pm ??

Do the Police have a problem with Sunderland at home then ???

West Ham v Man City, Friday 6th January.
Spurs v Aston Villa, Sunday 8th January.
