A tweet a little while back suggested he would be hosting the draw...

Would make sense from a marketing viewpoint to have the face of your channel fronting a draw made from your tower to millions of people watching on another channel.

Only 9 of the 20 matches have been played
Is that why you left your post incomplete ??

Was good to see the goals etc from matches played yesterday on the red button earlier, but is it really asking too much for someone to do a quick voiceover report of the odd match which has no BBC radio commentary available to accompany the action?

I assume BT cant show Stourbridge v Northampton as it is not a replay.

PL games on Tues and Weds in 10 days.

Dont be surprised with a Monday or Thursday replay.

Halifax v Eastleigh
Oxford v Macclesfield
are 2 possible picks so far

I certainly won't, as they've already announced they'll be showing replays on Monday and Thursday.

Hardly enspiring but the best of a bad bunch, Was half hoping Sheffield United, were gonna get a equaliser.

BT will have Live Domestic Foothall on for 6 Days in a row, Sky will be in there 10 in 10, could be interesting viewing figures

Correct and I'd also assume they will now miss out on the TV money they would have had if they'd played today?

The attractiveness of the replays could hinge on what is at stake in the next round, I'd say Halifax v Eastleigh is likely to be shown but it will be a near-certainty if they wait until after the draw to decide and a tie with a Premier League side is the known reward.

I wondered about that. It seems silly watching some matches in silence

Does it matter so much these days, about picking a lower league club away, from one in a higher division.

Look at Bristol Rovers, last year Chetham, this year Barrow both playing away

Been trying to remember: has the Beeb had live games on both the Fri and Mon night in the same round? Will be interesting if Tottenham and Man Utd are drawn together as presumably can only be Saturday night.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but why? Man Utd are in League Cup action the following Tuesday, but what's the specific problem with Spurs?

In any case, a game that could be played Saturday night could also be played Saturday lunchtime.

Pretty sure AFC Wimbledon v Liverpool was on a Monday night.

But that was the year when the Premier league had a New Years Day fixture list which was the Thursday beforehand so that ruled out Friday night !!!

Saturday is a constraint that would equally apply to Chelsea v Man Utd, Chelsea v Hull, or Spurs v Hull though.

The wording of the post suggested there was some specific circumstances about that one fixture that meant it could only be played Saturday.

In terms of being selected for television I meant. And of course, Chelsea and Man Utd too.
