My point regarding the Sat 17.15 slot, and I raised this on another thread and got shot down for it, is that it's a slot the Beeb rarely use now and only would if they really had to.

Ha ha. I must admit I prefer Fri and Mon nights. Used to them now. I just think it's fate that one of those combos will be pulled out.

I agree, I also think man utd should not be shown
Liverpool should not be shown either...
But they will be, as its not the best of draws for tv

Think the following:

West Ham V Man City (BBC)
Man United V Reading (BBC)
Hull City V Swansea (BBC/S4C)
Everton V Leicester (BT)
Preston V Arsenal (BT)
Spurs V Aston Villa (BT)

West Ham United vs Man City
Preston vs Arsenal
Bolton vs Palace
Cambridge vs Leeds
Man Utd vs Reading

They'll probably take an all premier league game instead of Cambridge match.

If Newport win and BBC or BT don't pick Liverpool , that will be BBC Wales/S4C match...

What an awful draw for TV.

West Ham v Man City surely the 1st pick (for whoever has that)

BT will want one of Utd or Liverpool for the usual reasons.

My boys AFC Wimbledon could be on. A local derby, a potential giant killing and a repeat of the 1963 Amateur Cup final.

And our game was pure entertainment yesterday.

Utd v Reading is nailed on with Jaap Stam's return to old Trafford.

I reckon that Spurs v Villa is likely,

Definitely Preston v Arsenal

Probably West Ham v City

Dismal draw but the 4th round could be good

Only certs are

Preston v Arsenal
WH v City

Suspect United and Pool will be shown just because everything else isn't very exciting.

I thought so as well. Big teams at home - no significant derby.

From the BBC:

Before the main draw there was a rehearsal, with some interesting pairings. Here are some highlights:

Accrington Stanley v Arsenal
Liverpool v Reading
Rochdale v Everton
Huddersfield v Chelsea
Blackpool v West Ham
Manchester United v Watford

In either of the first two rounds I'd say a tie like that would be nailed on for live TV coverage, sadly I have my doubts they'd pick a match at this stage not involving at least a Championship club. Shame really as I'd far rather watch that than the likes of Man United vs Reading.

Of course United will be shown - it's written in the contract that Manchester United have to be on telly.

Also our first ever fixture as AFC Wimbledon was a friendly at Sutton United. There is so much history in the side.

Do we really want to see Man Utd/Chelsea/Liverpool coast through their easy home draws?

I also didn't enjoy Ian Wright's running commentary of every ball he drew.
