A lot of ties in that draw would have been mouth-watering...had this been the 1970s.

Three rehearsal was more exciting than the real thing. Also I like doing my own draw. My draw included Cambridge v Man City,Plymouth /Newport v Man Utd and Barrow v Newcastle. As for live ties in don't mind BBC picking one all premier league tie but I don't want two.

Yep, a repeat of a friendly match 13 years ago is exactly the kind of thing the broadcasters are after!

And it's not even really a repeat of the 1963 Amateur cup final is it?

Always dead interesting to see the balance between potential/sensible pick shouts and 'my club has some good draw so should be picked' posts.

I'd say that match has tonight become a significantly more appealing game to the neutral given the glamour tie on offer in round three - so it could well be shown live next week (unless a decision has already been made).

PNE v Arsenal and West Ham v Man City are nailed on picks. I reckon the BBC will go for the former and put it on the Monday night. BT then take West Ham v Man City and put it on the Saturday night.

After that, it's very difficult to call. I'd go Everton v Leicester, Norwich v Southampton and Sutton v Wimbledon. But i'd be shocked if those last two were picked. Liverpool and Man Utd will probably be picked, so let's hope they turn out to be decent games.

Will BBC do a Final Score and move 8 games ??

Last season had a full fixture list on the Tuesday after the weekend.

This season is clear

Not 100% clear, but i know what you mean, as the 1st leg of the EFL games are the Tues & Weds. So i'd say that knocks Man Utd/Reading game out of Monday & potentially the Sunday, Friday night however looks possible on BBC given their love of Friday night games & united

That might just be the one thing that counts against it being picked. But I guess there are two slots to use so I suppose it's not that big a deal.

Let's be honest the BBC should really follow their remit and show both the Barrow and Sutton United ties live and give some of the TV money to the smaller clubs rather than the Premiership and Championship teams already served well by the TV deals.

I would also choose the Preston/Aresnal tie.

One of Liverpool and Everton will have to move from the Saturday as they are both at home.

Preston v Arsenal likely be Sunday afternoon?

I'm a pessimist, I think the BBC will go for PNE v Arsenal and put it on the Monday night. But I suppose it could be Sunday 16:00 if the BBC fancy a Friday night game instead. Ideally I'd like BT to get with a second pick and put in the Saturday 17:30 slot.

Apart from the fact that the real draw was naff for TV, as a Huddersfield fan you have to be absolutely pigging kidding me! I know it'd be Chelsea 3 times in about 10 years but argh, yes ok we may have lost but at least it'd be a sell out and live on TV giving us a big payday (I know that far too often in all cup competitions we've recently lost to teams where we both lose, and make about 20p from the tie, for once I'd love to win a cup game against such a team, eg Port Vale, or if we have to lose v someone, I'd rather lose but make a shedload of money).

Worth saying, of course, that PNE v Arsenal is the invincibles derby.

There is not a chance in hell that Sutton v Wimbledon would be picked.

Swap Bolton with Norwich-Southampton and that's my prediction too, although the times may vary.

Lg1 v Prem far more likely to be picked. Bolton-Palace a cert surely. Drop Liverpool at Home for Norwich v So'ton.

Why is everyone so obsessed with Norwich Southampton as a TV game? Is it just because the draw is quite poor anyway
