Is davros the worst ever act in the semi finals. Or is DJ (No) Talent or anyone else for that matter.

The wood chopping guy?

Your worst ever semi final act

Forgot to add probably not the worst but Holi Steel for sheer petulance and having a pushy parent.

The eye popping guy from series 4. I felt sorry for him because they had no reason to put him through to the semis other than to humiliate him.

I still remember feeling so embarrassed when watching Hollie Steel having a tantrum

Glad I'm not the only one who can't stand that choir. They're like something out of The Omen.

Probably controversial but the act I couldn't stand and never got that made it through is Stavros Flatley. Can't stand them, don't get the act and thought they were beyond dreadful

There have been some immensely poor semi finalists over the years so hard to choose just one. But t that guy who tried to sing in a weird voice with pictures of cartoon characters behind him must come close.

It was a comedy act, you weren't supposed to think they were good dancers

I do know that but I don't think they're funny in the slightest. I just found them ridiculous and not in a good way

Holly Steele.

Bless her, I remember watching that car crash as it was broadcast and the whole thing was hilarious.

In 10 years of BGT, she's the only semi finalist who got a second chance to do her performance and the second time was even more of a cringe fest because they got the whole audience to sway their arms in the air, probably to make Holly believe she was popular.

...and she won the public vote to top it all off. Still, Holly isn't the worst semi finalist, just the most spoilt one.

Dr Gore and Stevie Pink were horrendous semi finalists who had ran out of ideas before they even got going so I'd vote for one of them.

Hollie didn't win the public vote - I think that was Diversity...... Hollie was top 3 though, and the effing judges put her through over the real talent - that counter tenor called Greg Something who performed a brilliant version of Barcelona where he sang both parts!

They may have been the worst act but the judges shouldn't be allowed to buzz them. They were pretty much doing what they put them through for so they shouldn't now turn around and say it's shit. They had their chance to put someone better through and didn't so should let them get their full time and leave it to the public.
It was also odd that Alesha said she was against them in the deliberation so that means 2 judges didn't want them through. Surely there must've been plenty of acts that three judges wanted through but that were turned down.

Always seems a waste when all 4 judges buzz someone - if none of you like them, why are they here...? Same with the eye popping guy years ago I think?

I remember an act in the early years being buzzed off - think it was going to be illusions but got very gory...

There was also a quick change act who turned themselves into a singing act when they got to the live shows and a keyboard act who was lowered in from the ceiling

The vagueness is probably indicative of my having blocked some of these things out

Having sat through the semi-finals because my other half wanted to watch them, I have to say that most acts have been pretty awful. The singers had tuning issues, the choirs/big ensembles where technically good but ultimately boring, the dance acts had nothing special in their choreography and the remainder where all cringing one trick novelty acts which couldn't offer anything new second time around. The dancing dinosaur has to take the biscuit, anyone can put on an animal suit and shuffle back and forth.

Of course the 12 year old girl singer is going walk the final just because she is a 12 year old girl! There isn't any other real competition.

I don't think she "threw a tantrum" as such; I think she forgot her words and got very upset and asked Simon if she could go again (which he let her do later). I don't remember a tantrum.
