He lack of concern for his brother's innocent is rather blaise, I know they never always got on but they parted on good terms so when vital information come up he just ignores it, he more concern about Roxy shitting out drugs.

Considering all his family sold him down the river, you think they have one on his side.

He comes across as thick as shit.

He's secretly pining after Mick and has been in a bad mood ever since the deeply romantic kiss between them was played for laughs.

Can't stand jack at the mo. Can't believe he hasn't used his connections to find out what the score is with bobby. I suppose the scriptwriters must have a reason as to why he's not bothered, but it's not very clear. max and Jack were on good terms when the latter left so this is just baffling

Maybe Mick will dye his hair blonde and change his name to Mitchell.

Oh totally. They realised Ronnie was a mess of a character, she was turning into a psycho and someone like that cannot stay in soap for long. So they brought back Jack in a lame attempt for the viewers to forget that she was a complete nutjob last year.

I think it's probably just to make Max's comeback even more dramatic - no one probably wants to know him and those that do, Max has a very good right not talk to them ever again!

Awful writing for Jack. I was excited when he returned but he's just Ronnie's bitch.

And poor Amy has become invisible, it must all be such a trial for him.

Yes I miss Charlie too. He was nicer than Jack. Ronnie dumped what she called a boring bloke only to get back with her more boring and miserable ex. Stupid cow!

Ronnie and Charlie worked so well together. Cannot understand why they ruined that relationship. Charlie was a great character.

Considering how long he's been in EE, it's surprising how little depth there is to the character of Jack. I personally have no interest in him and have never been able to warm to him.

Is it because of Scott Maslen's portrayal of the character, or the way that he's written? I'm not sure.

It could be Scott Maslen. He doesn't play Jack with any charm or vulnerability like say Jake did with Max. I actually like Max even though his character has always been a love rat. Jack isn't particularly a love rat yet I still despise him!

So why would he return to the Square, even 'golden girl' Abi sold him down the river didn't she
