Carla's exit was absolutely awful, what a disgrace. 10 years on the show and Alison King gets served up that drivel when she goes.

Absolutely disgusting. I honestly cannot believe how bad it was, and my blood is basically boiling. I feel so sorry for Alison King.

One of the lowest points in Corrie's history, this is.

Absolutely Awful! Ludicrous drivel served up tonight. They've really done a hatchet job on Carla.

Must say it was such a low key exit.

I agree, she did deserve mode, but Corrie don't really do big exits, the whole week has been about her though, until the crash

Absolutely woeful. Blackburn has destroyed this show but tonight's episode was a particular low point. Such a rushed exit in the end and they've had so long to build up to it. Typical Corrie having to shoehorn everything into BGT week when they clearly needed more episodes to do Carla's exit justice with everything else going on. The time jump really jarred too and killed all momentum.

I thought it was understated on purpose, given the state of her life right now I was emotional watching it cant believe she has gone, anyway shel be back - course she will. also i think the producers are fuming she left seeing as she was one of the best!

Agree, as a casual viewer I've praised Corrie this week. I used to watch it regularly but gave it up because it was just a chore to watch. Why do they only put in an effort during BGT week?

As one of the show's biggest characters Alison King deserved a much better exit. She's been in it for years too, that was very dull imo!

just me that enjoyed it then. I cried at the final Roy and Carla scene. Roy in the hosp just made me think poor Roy.

It drew a line under Carla and Tracy too

bib: With Tracy so heavily involved, that's no surprise!

It was like an exit for a new character that had been axed.

Carla didn't even get a proper final conversation with Nick.

Agree it was very poor. She left with the majority of the street hating her.
She has been such a big character on the street and deserved a decent exit. They should have had her exit next week spanning over a couple of episodes so she could actually say goodbye properly to people, and try to clear the air with some people. Surely her and Nick could have at least spoken and left without Nick hating her. Not saying they should have become friends again, but at least had a scene with the two of them talking.
We should have also had more than a couple of seconds with Carla and Roy. I loved their relationship, and we should have had more of that.

I did like the final moment with Roy but yes the rest was s**t.

After being one of the top characters for several years, she deserved to go out on a high.

Nick being so cold towards her all of a sudden was bizarre too. The worst thing she did was sleep with Robert and he was going to marry her anyway after that.

She has been an abysmal character for years, I am just glad to see the back of her.

And the hatchet job on Carla's exit storyline has been complete!
It was indeed absolutely dire and a big middle finger from the writers/exec producer to such an iconic character. Even her final confrontation with Tracey was awful and a complete non-event when it could have been amazing...I mean here we have to arch-enemies seeing each other for the last time and it climaxes with a "we're done"
Tracey looked as bored and unbothered as ever. It would have been much more impactful if she said nothing and instead see her at least wipe away a subtle tear or something while trying to maintain her "bitch" composure.....I mean when you invest in hating someone that much for years and years, it is bound to have some profound emotional effect on you.
But it seems Tracey already has Jenny Bradley lined up as her Carla replacement!

Wouldn't Carla be facing criminal charges for her part in the accident? She drove right at Tracy and there are witnesses.

I don't think many people would want to defend Tracy.

Surely there would be an investigation into how the accident happened though? I know Tyrone was also partly to blame but Carla hospitalised Cathy.

It was a nice moment with Roy and Johnny but disappointed with how her and Nick ended. She didn't try and go to him and he just doesn't seem to care right now. Understandably of course. Although I do think they went full circle. I seem to remember when Nick first seen Carla when he came back he was running and she was getting out of her car

Just seems like there was so much unfinished business rather than closure. I suppose they have to do it like that as she might come back in a few years so need something that could bring her back

It was a disappointing exit for one of the show's biggest characters in recent years. I would have liked more reference to her history on the Street. It just all felt very shoehorned in. I was glad that Roy shared that final conversation with her, but I found it too brief. Also, I would have loved a final scene with Leanne.

Another of those stupid soap exits where a character packs up their entire life in a matter of hours and leaves with just a couple of suitcases.

I think for Nick the worst thing she did was lie to him, again and again, so he could not trust her again.

Carla hasn't been same character since the Peter/Tina affair.

Overused, haggard character who has been stripped apart like meat. A shame.
