Fair play to you! I suspect that DS is mostly cat people; there is an obscene amount of hate thrown at dog acts as a matter of principle, no matter how talented.
The good thing about Trip not going through just yet is that it stopped all the 'well, there's a dog act so we may as well just give them the money and be done with it' type comments, which were pretty poorly substantiated as I'm sure that there's been dog acts that didn't win BGT. For example, hyno dog.
