Who is the best Coronation Street actor and actress?
For best actress I would say Paula Lane. I'm not being biased because Kylie is my favourite character, I genuinely think Paula is a great actress and super convincing. Though she seems very underrated for some reason. She's made Kylie her own, I couldn't imagine anyone else playing her
Tina O Brian is good at the minute too, omg wow! She's playing Sarah's madness great!! Best actor is a bit harder. Jack P Shepherd might be a prick in real life, but he is a decent actor. I would probably say the bloke who plays Roy is the best. I thought Peter Barlow's actor was good but I guess he's out of the question since he's now left Who in your opinion is the best actor or actress in Corrie Street? Inspired by seeing countless threads of "worst" actors. I figured we might as well do one for the best of the best

Currently, I would have to say that it's a toss up between Jane Danson and Paula Lane. In terms of actors, I would have to say Jack P Shepherd.

Jenny Bradley. Loved her reaction to the crash.

My favourites are Paula Lane (She really will be a huge loss to the show), Jack P Shepherd, Tina O'Brien, David Neilson, Sally Ann Matthews and Jane Danson. Love all of them equally.

David Neilson is fantastic but with each passing episode I feel like he's starting to phone in his performances.

The only characters worth watching when she's gone will be the comedy characters |

The forever fabulous and always consistent Jane Danson. I don't think I have ever seen that woman give a duff performance, even if the material isn't good.
In terms of actors, it has to David Neilsen. Another fine and always consistent actor as well. |

Sadly it was the paperboy that used to stand outside the Kabin, he is dead, he has ceased to be, he is an ex-paperboy.

I agree with quite a few already mentioned (Sally Ann Matthews especially), but another favourite of mine is Patti Clare. She plays Mary so beautifully IMO.
Obviously a lot of it is in the writing, but the sadness behind the comedy is sometimes quite painful to watch and Patti just plays it to perfection. I know she's not everyones cup of tea though. |
