Jay has nothing left to lose, playing by the book being honest and sincere has got him nowhere, nobody valued that, you are judged primarily by your job and status. So now he's willing to gamble with Roxy and chance his luck. At least he's trying something out of the box for him

I wws so pleased when Jay said he was in on Roxy's scheme. Jay could about to be taken on a whole new direction as a character, i think it's great.

Interesting post. I agree that it's understandable he's been tempted by Roxy's offer. Life has royally screwed him over: he's lost his job and some of his friends/family, he has people judging him and it's also apparent that he had really fallen for Linzi/Star and is probably still trying to deal with the relationship ending in the way it did. Poor guy really is at rock bottom.

Also was it just me or was there a bit of a spark between him and Roxy? I could imagine the two of them turning to comfort sex soon, given everything that's happened to them.

Now that would give Jay a proper connection to the Mitchell family the father of a baby Mitchell and in a relationship with Roxy, they could indeed go on to be the next big villain gangster couple of Albert Square.

While I'm mainly rooting for Ben/Jay, seeing as Jay continues to be resoundingly heterosexual I think Roxy/Jay is the next best thing. They'd be great together.

Jay's scenes last night were great....but then I've always preferred him with Billy. There were some great one liners.

Too much of a sudden character transformation for me. He is hardly been screwed over as he? He has made many mistakes, initially covering for Ben with the Heather stuff. Then involved with Ben when he come out of prison, including robbing the off licence and then hiding Lucy's belongings after Ben mugged her.

Then he gets with a girl and fails to find out any background on her, plans to have sex with her and doesn't know her age, dodgy pictures on his phone etc. Lets be clear, he in not and never will be this innocent hard done by character that everyone should feel sorry for.

If he gets involved with drugs with Roxy he will be yet another character where there is no coming back from this.

Johnny/Jay would be far better.

Yeah those damn heterosexuals ruining everything the world would be a much better place without them.

True, he hasn't been an angel by any stretch of the imagination, although looking at the crime list thread that someone posted yesterday, he is fairly decent by EE standards. And I agree that he really was very stupid indeed with Linzi, but I reserve my true disdain for people who commit sexual offences intentionally. With Jay I just feel exasperation that he apparently didn't ask Linzi anything about her life or care about what she was doing during the day. He's an incredibly silly young man but he's not a predator.

I don't know, I will have to ask myself to find out what I have done to myself.
