New Google keyboard

On my hudl2 tablet every couple of days it automatically downloads the new Google keyboard, which I then have to uninstall (I don't want it, I'm happy with the original).

Is there any way I can block this download, as it is unwanted.

Any advice appreciated.

Why are you unhappy with the update? In any case when you're in Google play go to settings and untick the setting automatic update of apps option. All that will be changed then is that you will have to manually update your apps by going into Google play.

Another way is to unselect the auto update tick on the Google keyboard app of itself which will work in the same way as above.

One thing that annoys me on all google keyboards is lack of a cursor left/right button. When editing text, it is sometimes fiddly to get cursor in exact position on smaller screens.

By contrast the windows tablet keyboards have this and it is so much easier getting cursor in right place to insert, delete or amend text.

On the new version of Google Keyboard, you can swipe left and right on the Space bar to move the cursor in the respective direction. This is a really handy update.

That's good to know, I also have difficulty using the touch screen to get exactly where I want in a sentence.
