This shouldn't be allowed as they were up for the public wildcard, further making this series a joke tbh.

To add to this, people have wasted their money voting for them as well.

Presumably the pool for the wildcards is the five third placed semi finalists

I'm thinking that the Public choose their winner then the judges choose theirs from the other 4. I don't think they would look outside that small pool for fairness' sake.

After the final we should see how the public's wildcard vote ended up - who knows - perhaps Shannon and Peter were runners up to Trip Hazard.........

Very surprised as they were the last ones I would have expected to get the vote.

EietherJack Higgins or Tumar KR would have been the ones I thought the judges would maybe go for

They should've chosen the polar bears.

The judges should have lumped the Higgins boy in with Shannon and Peter in the first place. We would have got rid of two acts then.

The judges probably picked a 1st choice and a back-up in case the public chose the same act. Makes perfect sense to me.

This happened last year, the judges picked one of the acts from the five 3rd placers who didn't get the public vote. i wish they would just state this rather than all this rubbish about all 45 in contention for it.

I agree with CaroUk, I'm sure the judges waited for the public result, before choosing. It makes sense really to pick a third place act, rather than someone who didn't do as well.

cant see them winning, the show has to put some poor acts through otherwise they could not choose a winner as they would all be too good

They are not great, just average for middle aged dancers. The judges have no idea about anything classically artistic. They are not educated. Do we really think Simon has ever seen a full ballet? Same with that orchestra. It's the reason Amanda Holden us not also a judge on BBC Young Musician of the Year. They are usually school children and if you ever see that competition and the level of difficulty and artistry you realise the classical people on BGT are actually pretty near all dreadful.

While on this rant I also hate the way the judges call people opera singers. If you are not singing in an opera and never have you are not an opera singer. I don't think they realise opera singers project over a full orchestra without amplification for several hours. The likes of Katherine Jenkins simply cannot do this, the conductor couldn't hear her let alone the back of the gods. This is not say she cannot sing, just that she is not an opera singer and she herself asks people not to call her that.

I don't even think they should've been in the running - they've had their chance over the last few years and failed. Give someone else a shot.

They're not even that good.

It's quite possible that they chose from the four left AFTER we had voted. It would have been ridiculous to choose from the acts that came 4th or lower in the semi finals and pit them against those that came first. However, I don't think the judges should have a WC at all.

You do realise that Shannon and Peter ARE classically trained and have spent several years dancing professionally in ballet companies? Although now retired from dancing professionally they have danced with San Francisco Ballet, Northern Ballet and Ballet du Rhin in principal roles. So not very dreadful!

This is the point I was making earlier. They've had their day, someone else should've been given the chance.

It is also part of the reason they didn't win Got to Dance a couple of years back.

Justice was served - 11th out of 12

Would rather they had been 12th, but hey ho, happy with the result as far as they are concerned.

Richard Jones -16.7%
Wayne Woodward -13.8%
Boogie Storm -12.8%
Jasmine Elcock – 11.8%
Beau Dermott – 9.8%
Craig Ball – 9.2%
Trip Hazard – 7.8%
100 Voices of Gospel – 4.7%
Alex Magala – 4.5%
Balance Unity – 3.8%
Shannon & Peter – 3.2%
Mel & Jamie -1.9%

I saw the stats somewhere yesterday and Tumar had the second most votes from the public for wildcard

I actually found Shannon and Peter quite nauseating to watch, possibly because of the "love story" they concocted around it (not saying it isn't true of course) but ......almost a bit of a case of tmi! Good job my dinner had had a chance to settle. I was shouting at the screen at the end...Nooooo, please don't snog, please don't - thank heavens for small mercies, twas just a quick peck lol!

The thing about a wildcard is that if they don't win in the Semi Finals then it's really unlikely that they will win the whole show. It's a bit of false hope.
