Jay and Roxy Partners in Crime.
I love the fact that these two ae working on a drugs deal together, both obviously feel they have nothing to lose. Hopefully we can see more of Roxy and Jay working togther in the future, could be a turning point for both characters.

They could become a couple, and the new criminal gangster pairing of the square.

As a pairing, it actually beats quite a lot of the other couples on the square at the moment.....
It's a shame that Jay is a bit young for her, as they do go quite well together, or maybe that is going to be next in the storyline........ I suppose it'll inevitably all end in tears..... |

I am loving the Jay/Roxy scenes, whats funny is that Jay has fancied Roxy since he was a kid, I remember him stealing her underwear when they were all living in the Vic. I've always wanted more between these two so seeing them team up will be great to watch, both are currently the Mitchell outsiders yet both are the most down to earth within that family, they have a personality and likability (unlike Ronnie and Ben) but aren't treated as fools (unlike Billy and Honey) and I don't think either are that scared or bothered of Phil either.

I agree they seem to have good chemistry on Screen. Us nothing was reveals about the Storyline before. It's good to watch.

Two of the most worthless characters in the show. On par with Tina and Sonia.

I hope it doesn't turn into a romantic thing as some are suggesting. He has a lovely relationship with Roxy. Reminds me of his relationship with Dawn. Like they're more sisters to him than anything.
I like that the sex offender storyline was only a trigger for him to spiral downwards and nothing more than that. So SO glad it isn't the only thing they had going for him. |

As long as it keeps Roxy away from Ronnie the better. I think both of them are much more interesting when not in each other's storylines.

I wonder if its heading down a more darker path, I think the next step for Jay could be him becoming an addict.

I love this turn of events. Obviously it would be good for Jay to just be happy, but for dramatic reasons and after what has happened to his character recently, this seems like a very exciting step forward.

My only concern is it could lead to Jay's exit. They are two characters I've always liked and also two who haven't been given enough to do. While people acknowledge that Jamie is a good actor I think Rita gets a lot of unfair stick. Something a bit more dramatic may help to change that.

Going down a criminal path seems the right thing for Jay at the moment. He's hated by most and reached rock bottom and also has form in that he was a bit of a bad boy when a youngster and also has dodgy routes because of his Dad but with Roxy it's just boring and ridiculous. She needs money
but can't just get a job like a normal person. She wants Amy but is determined to act in a manner that means that can never happen. She's basically a 40 year old who refuses to grow up and I can't be bothered with her. PS What happened to all her millions she inherited by the way

Agreed, the storyline suits Jay, as he mentioned in one episode this week, he's got nothing left to loose. As for Roxy, nobody can just get a normal job on there, it has to be some dodgy/illegal cash payment only job.
AFAIK, Roxy wasted the millions, and Phil conned her out of some of it. I wish it was just Jay on his own becoming a gangster type. It really suits him, much more than the sweet boy routine. I remember his tough expressions like when he mugged Lucy years before Ben who was still practicing his dance moves

I can't take them serious as drug dealers/pushers. Probably find Gavin is the boss

Love this pairing but hope it stays on a friendship level. big fan of Jay but I was surprised how much I liked rita's performance as roxy this week. Was a bit bored of roxy before so hope this is a great new chapter for her, although I do have to admit I really liked it when roxy and Christian were best mates and also when roxy was with Alfie.
Loved the way she downplayed jay's recent conviction too in the sense that she knew Jay hasn't done anything and didn't even try and make him feel bad for a second. |
