It was telegraphed a mile off. Cynical, mawkish trash.
This is a what I felt, It felt exploitative and not standing on his own two feet as a magician (as let's face it he isn't as good as Jamie last year and he wasn't the most accomplished magician ever)

Poor final overall, a lot of the acts ended up doing a reprise and I thought the best two of the night were Beau and Alex and both flopped- The tribute section was awesome though!

Why didn't the winner thank the magicians he stole his act from?
No one stole anything. The book trick was invented by magician Docc Hilford and marketed for sale,thus anyone can perform it.

even down to using a judges autobiography?

Yes. The content of the book used is not relevant but at least one other magician (the name escapes me) has done the same trick on TV already - before the guy on AGT.
