Hi guys I'm going to be working on this little project intermittently, writing Coronation Street episodes (In synopsis style) starting with episodes the week commencing 11th September 2016. I can't be working with the current Blackburn crap which is why I will be starting from September, as by this all of his work will be finished.

Just as a bit of background before I start, the Callum stuff is all over and done with by now, Jason has been arrested and gone to prison for murder and Kylie has done a runner with Max, basically the Callum stuff has now been forgotten.

Firstly, I will be changing the episode structure, keeping five epsiodes a week, but reintroducing the Sunday episode, and axing Monday's 8:30pm Episode. Double bill as usual on Friday.

Sunday - 7:30pm - 8:00pm
Monday - 7:30pm - 8:00pm
Wednesday - 7:30pm - 8:00pm
Friday - 7:30pm - 8:00pm , 8:30pm - 9:00pm

Some of the storylines and plots with include ideas of those on this forum as well as my own. My aim is to get characters out of the street more, interacting elsewhere, with more scenes of wider Weatherfield, and to have characters eventually start working elsewhere.

Later I will post the character & cast list, as well as some other bits and pieces. I'm not going to say how long I will be doing this for or plan it out in too much detail, I'm just going to see how it goes first.

Patience is a virtue lol! The first episode won't be finished for a good few weeks yet, but the spoilers for week one might be up by the end of this week.

I can confirm that two new sets will be introduced to the programme, they will be located away from the street, elsewhere in Weatherfield, they are;

Weatherfield High
Freshco Express

The Community Centre set is also set to be expanded, with the aim being to make it the focal point of the street over time, as opposed to the Rovers Return (although this will still very much be at the heart of the show too)

I can confirm that neighbouring street "Rosamund Street" will be shown on a recurring basis, and several sets have been constructed to show the interior of the houses. When the Coronation Street set was rebuilt in 2013, Rosamund Street was built as real houses after being just a backdrop for years.

I have set myself the target of posting Episode 1 (Set on Sunday 11 September 2016)
on Sunday 3 July. From there, episodes will be uploaded according to the schedule (Monday, Wednesday & then two on Friday and so on)
I'm going on holiday on 17 June, so spoilers for the first week will be uploaded on Thursday 16 June.

So, my first episode will be published here on Sunday 3 July.

Don't forget to keep coming back to this thread though, as I will be uploading teasers most days.

I can confirm that a new family "The Jobson's" will be taking over the Rovers, and when my episodes begin (set in September) this transition will be taking place. Michelle & Steve will remain living at the Rovers, however, later, I can tease that there will be a twist which will really test their relationship.

I can officially confirm that Georgia Taylor & Martin Hancock will be reprising their respective roles as Toyah Battersby & Spider Nugent, they will return to the street together. It is unconfirmed though when exactly they will return this autum, and why they will return.

I can also confirm that Tristan Gemmill will be leaving his role as Robert Preston, and Kym Marsh has been temporarily written out of the show as part of a storyline.

However, there will be more cast changes to come, these are just a few that are being revealed.

This evening there will be an announcement about the characters and castings for the Rovers Family.

Also, I am giving you guys the chance to PM me any questions that you have about my plans for the show (not too specific, more generic questions please ) and If I get enough responses, I will create a little press event thingy on this thread next Tuesday.

I've noticed a mistake in the cast list for week 1, Kylie Platt (Portrayed by Paula Lane) shouldn't be there, she will have left the programme during the summer, apologies, this is a mistake.

You may have also noticed that the Mods have kindly added "Promotion thread" to the title of this thread, the reason being I plan to start a fresh thread when I actually start publishing the episodes & spoilers in July.

A week or so before I post the first episode, I will post a page of just background information about what has happened in the weeks, months leading up to the week beginning the 11 September, just to provide some context. Just as a note, not everything that appears in the "real" corrie in the upcoming weeks and months will necessarily have happened in "my" corrie.
Don't worry If this doesn't make sense lol. I'm almost confusing myself, all will become clear when I post the context a few weeks before the episodes begin (basically a better way to put it would be I will be changing some bits and peices in some storylines)

Here's an example (This is a spoiler for "real" corrie, WARNING)

Spilling the beans on the big families on the street...

The Platt’s : The Platt’s have taken centre stage for much of the summer, the discovery of Callum’s body in Gail’s annexe which led to Jason being sent down for murder, was a harrowing storyline for the family. This autumn we are going to give the Platt’s more of a backseat role, obviously the Callum storyline aftermath has led to the departure of Kylie Platt who had run away with her son Max, and we’ve seen some of the effects that this ordeal has had on Sarah, but now we are going to start to see what this has done to Gail in quite a serious storyline. We’re going to explore how the events of the past 12 months will come back to haunt her.
Finally, towards the end of the autumn, we’ve got a blast from the past for the family, really shaking up the Platt unit.

The Barlow’s: Tracy is back to her usual devious self, and we’re going to find that her villainous nature will start to come between her and Robert, really testing their relationship. As Tracy’s true colours start to become clear to Robert, will it spell the end of her relationship with the chef?
Following on from that we’re building up to a dramatic storyline with Tracy at the centre as we approach Christmas. Surely there are only so many times we can see Ken forgive her for her outrageous actions and crimes? As Tracy starts to stir up trouble once more could she make an enemy of the wrong person this time?

The Alahan’s: In a slightly lighter storyline, Dev is going to have some fun this autumn and decide to start online dating after being encouraged by Erica. We’ve also got the return of Julie Carp who viewers may remember departed with head teacher Brian Packham last year for an adventure around the world. Well she’s back on the street to visit the kids, before revealing that she’s moving back in with her mother in Oakhill after her relationship with Brian didn’t work out (again) . Julie’s return is going to be fun; she’s ready to inject liveliness and excitement back into Dev’s life, soon becoming part of the family again. Could the person he’s been looking for in love be nearer than he thinks?


Leanne & Simon: We’re really going to shake up this family unit; we’ve got Toyah Battersby (Leanne’s sister) returning with another familiar face from the cobbles, Spider Nugent.

The Webster’s: It’s going to be a heartbreaking autumn for the family, I can tease. So far, we’ve seen Tim & Sally at the centre of the street’s comedy and fun, they’re a great partnership but we’re going to see a more serious side to Tim when the family have to deal with some life changing news. We’re also going to shake up the family a bit; we’ve got Rosie Webster coming back in played by Helen Flanagan, and the return of Bill Webster from Germany. Sophie’s going to decide that she wants to spread her wings a bit after seeing what some of her friends have achieved, so that is another thing that will be interesting to see.

Fiz & Tyrone: It’s been a tough year for this couple; they’ve had Hope’s cancer and then their money woes on top of that. In the past month or so it seemed like there was light at the end of the tunnel for them. However, this autumn their world will come crumbling down, and they will be at the centre of a dramatic plot which sees a familiar face return to the cobbles.

The Nazir’s: We’re going to be continuing Zeedan’s romance with newcomer Rana, Alya’s settling in at the factory, and the family reopen the community centre on Rosamound Street at a bigger venue.

The McDonalds: As we’ve seen these past few months, Michelle & Steve’s marriage is on the rocks, following Michelle’s kiss with old flame Will while Steve was away. We’re going to see Michelle finally listen to hear heart, and one of them is forced to make a decision about their relationship. Could one of them be leaving the cobbles?

The Grimshaw’s: We’ve got the Eileen & Michael pairing continuing, Michael supporting Eileen through a difficult time following her son, Jason being sent down for the murder of Callum Logan. We’re also going to see some character development with Todd, we’re going to explore his back-story a bit, particularly his time working in London.

The Jobson’s / Henderson’s: The newest family to the street, the new owners of the Rovers Return too, the Jobson’s will be arriving early this autumn. As the family settle in to the pub, we’ve got some interesting storylines planned for them. Also arriving with the family are Davina’s parents, Carol and Michael who will be moving into Rosamound Street around the corner. This family will be eased in gently to the street, so won’t be shoved down viewer’s throats, but we’ve got some interesting new characters amongst that family, and let’s just say that not everything may be as it seems.

All sounds good but the question is what happens to Phelan?
