Hi. I haven't seen any of this year's semi finals or finals (on holiday at the moment, got them recorded).

I remember before it started Simon Cowell said this year's winner will receive an extra special prize. I didn't see anything about this in the auditions and haven't read anything about it online since. So I'll ask you guys, what was it?

I think that idea must have been scrapped? I don't remember it ever being mentioned.

Winning £250,000 is a special enough prize

Simon gave Richard a trophy on BGMT, but I couldn't tell if it was just a cheap and cheerful one...

The 'special prize' is free high class 'media management' from Simon's old mucker Max Clifford at his plush apartments in HM Prison Littlehey.

I just read in the article that....
TV Watchdog Ofcom ordered ITV to refund voters following a ruling that the 2015 final was misleading after it was revealed that a stunt dog had been used for some of the tricks.
Did this really happen? Was it a big deal on this forum? When did it happen?
This is an example of where somebody may ask if I've been living under a rock for the last year, and in a way they'd be right. I didn't have a clue that this happened. I knew that there were threads on here at the time of the last series that made a point of her using other dogs which she passed off as the main one, but I didn't realise that something came of it and that there were consequences.

Yes ITV offered voters the chance to claim a refund if they felt they had been misled. I think that was in June last year. Some people on the forums were making a huge fuss, saying they thought Jules had cheated etc, But I don't particularly remember anyone on here talking about claiming a refund.

I don't know whether many people bothered, because of course lots of people would have voted for free on the app, and even those who had paid to vote might have still liked the act enough to want them to win anyway, even when the information came out that there was an extra dog.

Thanks. I'm very surprised that all this occurred after the series finished and after I stopped popping into the forum.
It certainly offers a possible reason why the judges gave her a very lukewarm reception when she was invited back to give a performance this year.
It would be quite strange if they saw her as a pariah that they chose to invite her back after what happened. Perhaps she was invited back because it's customary and what viewers expect each year?
