Dont know the tablet, and I cant find any answer online but assuming its android, try one of the following to access recovery mode... (the screen will not work whilst in this menu so use the hard buttons (volume, power) to move and select). Its worth a try as Ive had tablets that when the power has completely run down, even though ive recharged it, ive had to do this to get it to turn back on. There are several options as all tablets vary.

Press and hold Power+Volume Up+Volume Down buttons.
Keep holding until you see a menu with Recovery mode option.
Navigate to Recovery mode option and press Power button.

Press and hold Power+Volume down key and the menu to enter your phone recovery mode will show up.
Just Navigate to Recovery mode option and press Power button.

Press and hold Power+Home buttons.
The tablet will turn on and menu to enter recovery mode will show up.
Navigate to “Recovery mode” option and press Power Button.

Hold power button for 5-10 seconds
The tablet will turn on and menu to enter recovery mode will show up.
Navigate to “Recovery mode” option and press Power Button.

If the battery is removable, buy a new battery from somewhere, which may or may not solve the problem. Or take it to be repaired.

If you don't think it is worth spending money on, throw the tablet away and get a new one.

Are you sure it charged? Have you tried another charger on it?

Is there a charging light on the tablet, if so does it go off after a few minutes? Years ago the Blackberry tablet (I still have one) had an issue where if the battery went totally flat it would not charge up again. This was due to the BIOS being powered off the battery so no battery no BIOS and no ability to charge the tablet, a classic catch 22.

The fix was to step charge which meant plugging the charger in until the light went off after a few seconds removing it and plugging it in again, this was repeated over and over until the battery had enough juice to power up the BIOS and then charge correctly.

Not saying that it your problem but worth checking out.

I don't know the tablet in question, but if possible try trickle charging the tablet via a computers USB connection, it may bring it back to life.

Have you also tried the other combinations listed?

Does it have a reset button, usual a small hole where you use a paperclip to push to reset. I know my Yarvik had this.

i was thinking of a reset button and the paperclip ... but cant find anything

Had it plugged into the computor usb hoping that would charge it but no luck .

Just put it back on the charger... a red led light appears... constant not flashing

still seems as dead as a dodo

The charger will have a label on it stating the DC output voltage and current. Quite likely it is 5V DC if the tablet normally charges from USB as that is the standard USB voltage. But check to be sure.

Any charger with equal voltage and at least equal current capacity (doesn't matter if current is higher) will do provided it has a compatible connector and the + and - voltage connections are the right way round.

My mother in law has a BB playbook thats got that problem, it has been slung in a drawer now as its useless.

I got it working temporarily by opening it and wiring the battery directly to a charger wire for an hour or so, then put it back together and charged it properly after that, but she let it run out of charge again, so its back in the drawer.
