I wish they'd just do it as a live broadcast.

The winner of it and all the other awards have been all over the media - not just social media, but newspaper and broadcast news - since last night. I've already apologised to you for not realising that not everyone is aware of what's going on in the world and making the mistake of posting the results not in spoiler tags on another thread, but you don't seem to have accepted the apology. Nothing else I can do. |

Hi guys I know who won Best Soap. It was a soap that did well
Why are Isobel Steele and Duayne Boachie nominated for Best Newcomer when Liv in Emmerdale has not been in the show that long and Zack is one of the worst actors in Hollyoaks |

The British Soap Awards has some strange nominations this year
Why is Liv in Emmerdale and Zack from Hollyoaks being nominated when Liv has not been in the show that long and Zack is not a good actor. So they could not not find anyone else that was better or more suitable. What about Tracy from Emmerdale or Sonya or Jade from Hollyoaks

Also, Charlie Clapham being nominated for anything is always strange.

Tony Warren created Corrie and had a hard fight to get it aired. It's a tribute to him and is the new name of the Outstanding Achievement Award for a non-actor, i.e. someone off-screen.

I was busy reading the more important stuff, migrants by the hundred, the tory's bleating about immigration. In this day and age when the internet is our primary source of communication, it's incredibly easy to avoid spoilers for the award ceremony.

I know who Tony Warren is and how tough it was for the team to get it aired (although it was actually Harry Elton who fought to get it aired, a minor detail people forget) - don't patronise me, I'd just forgot which award they named after him - makes sense that it's the off-screen one.
