I'm surprised we haven't had any previews of the stunt yet, as it's all kicking off next month.

As others have suggested, I think Pierce will sabatage the new flats, and they'll collapse or something. It could involve other characters by having them looking around at the time.

So Pierce is just another revenge seeking nutjob like that's never been done before.

I was thinking that it would be Pierce trying to kill Rakesh, but now I'm not so sure, Emmerdale are good at twists, and at the moment this just seems too predictable. Also, Iain Mcleod said to the press on Saturday night at the soap awards that "Paddy will be back later in the year, but obviously Rhona's moving on, she's got Pierce in her life", or something along those lines. Therefore, I'm thinking if Pierce is sticking around that long then maybe he's no the culprit, I'm still thinking it could be connected to the White's.

When she first joined the programme I thought her hopeless and wooden ( nobody could be more wooden than the girl who plays Holly, I now realise ) ; however- I think shes improved and has become an important character in ED now.

Not hugely excited by this, another OTT stunt not short of the Helicopter Crash business. In moderation yes, but let's not go the EE and HO way. Preserve the ED way even if it is admittedly a changing way for better/worse

EE way??? Granted HO yes and ED is already that way sorry its ED and HO who constantly blow things up tbf ... EE and Corri looked quite mild in the clips compared to them two lol

EE rarely do stunts. They're not very good at them so they stick to what they do best. Dramatic storylines

Fair point, high drama and stunts can all fall under 'sensation' though that's what I'd normally more associate with EE and HO

I generally agree with you although i dont think Ee is overly reliant on sensationalism.

I also agree that Emmerdale should probably take it easy on the stunts too. They can do brilliant truthful and excellent drama without stunts.

The aftermath of the Helicopter crash was very poor. It was like it never happened

30th onwards, as it's not airing anyother time in June!

Oi. Cheeky bugger

The last month or so has been great. Consistency rather than storylines is EE problem imo.

Anyway this thread is about Emmerdale so I'll rap myself on the the knuckles and get back on topic.

We now now that there will be a "death in the dales" from this summer stunt, which they are dubbing "super week" according to the mirror.

A summer stunt in which someone will be killed.

No doubt "who" will be a closely guarded secret - in the hope that it will fuel speculation as the soap news sites try to feed the fan frenzy with clickbait headlines.

A bit like last year then - deja vu anyone
