I am not pleased that the new EP is going ahead with this so early in his reign. He needs to focus on new characters, developing existing ones and big long storylines for the time being. Not ratings grabbing stunts.

Doubt he has much say in the matter, it's usually ITV that push for these big stunts so they can get a ratings spike in the summer when ratings tend to dip. Best Iain MacLeod can do is try and make it as entertaining for the viewers as possible. I hope he handles the aftermath better than Kate Oates did the aftermath of the helicopter stunt.

BIB: I highly doubt it, Iain Mcleod said at the soap awards that "Rhona's moving on she's got Pierce in her life" when taking about the end of the year, so I think Pierce is safe.

Out the four involved

Lawrence = has a story with chrissie and Ronnie in July/August so obviously going to survive, near death experience will probably make him face his sexuality.

Priya = David is set for a summer of fun, if his daughters mother died I would expect him to have a bleak summer so I suspect she's safe

Rakesh= I would have thought the most likely to go, but I would have thought above would have a little relevance if priya lost her husband I would have thought David would be comforting her over the summer instead of having fun.

Nicola = actress recently back from maternity leave may want to leave to spend more time with her new family? Would be very shocking to lose her. Could lead to a summer from hell for Bernice and needing a shoulder to cry on step forward Mr sugden.

Or with someone not revealed be the one to perish, a numb have been listed as having stories set for the summer and autumn. I wouldn't be suprised to see Rodney go.

I don't want to see another stunt so soon after the last one. However, I assume the new producer wants to make his mark on the show

I agree. The actress playing Chrissie is good now and has improved a lot. Chrissie is also a better character now
